Good, comfortable back brace.
Very pleased with this back brace. I injured my back 6 months ago lifting furniture, and have been in discomfort ( not acute pain) ever since. I spend a lot of time fishing on lakes, which is quite sedentary, and makes things worse, so I bought this brace. I have to say I'm very pleased with it. It's comfortable, and gives me the support I need. It's not a cure of course, but it definitely helps. I'd recommend it.

Superb lower back support
I have recently had back surgery in the ‘lumbar area’ just over 2 months ago, but I did ‘something’, don’t know what but between my surgery repair and my right hip joint I strained something really very badly. I decided to purchase this vest as it was one of the best rated on an on-line pole, and is amazing how well it supports my lower back and hip-joints. Great product and glad to have purchased it.

Doesn't sweat!!
This belt is very solid, it keeps your back straight, its not a bendy material and keeps tight around the waist. It has velcro so you can tighten it accordingly and it's non slippery so it stays put on ur back. Main thing is you don't sweat whilst wearing.

Effective, comfortable, well made, affordable lumbar support.
As a sufferer of rheumatoid & osteo arthritis, I have many days when I struggle with mobility & pain issues. Recent knee replacement surgery exacerbated my symptoms and my post op recovery was difficult until I found this awesome brace. With a mesh and elastic rather than neoprene construction, it is not as hot or bulky as another brace I own. The main stays are synthetic and stitched in so they are light but there is nothing to slide out and dig into your skin. The 3 angled elastic straps each side sit well and the velcro fasteners are generously sized. My lumbar region is now well supported while I focus on my knee recovery. I had a small issue with sizing and this was sorted out for me straight away by Aveston. Very refreshing to find a company that stands so solidly behind its product.

High Quality. Good Support. Proper fitment crucial.
I don’t write a lot of reviews, but wanted to submit one here because this brace and customer service experience far exceeded my expectations for an Amazon fulfilled product. First, I purchased this brace to help support my core after injuring my lower back doing excessive yard work. I also recently gained some weight (I’m 5’11 and 190 pounds) and hoped this would flatten my stomach a bit as a secondary advantage. First Impression: The level of comfort, amount of support provided, materials used and general construction are all top-rate. I felt confident this was a good purchase immediately after opening, inspecting and wearing for the first time. Initial Quality: The brace I received had NO noticeable defects (for example: the stitching, loose strings, ripped seams, wonky construction...). Some other options at this price point just do not compare. Comfort: Comfort is fantastic. With two adjustment straps you can find the perfect fit. I wear this over tighter, light cotton or modal undershirts. I’ve yet to have any issue with skin irritation and only occasionally to I slightly readjust. Customer Support: I contacted customer support with several general questions around best-practice product use. The COMPANY FOUNDER replied within 48 hours and her level of product commitment and willingness to help was evident! She advised me that obtaining the right fit was important to achieve the most support at peak comfort. As it turned out, I initially overtightened the straps and wore the brace too often (24/7). I was also tightening the brace improperly given its design. However, had I watched and followed the online video before my first use there would have been no need to reach out to support. Video / Instructions: The video is high quality and nice and short. Here’s the gist on proper fitment: First, fit the brace comfortably without the adjustment straps loose at the sides. Ensure the brace is centered by feeling at the back. Velcro the main wide strap. Lastly, pull the side straps to your desired position for optimal support. Use the side straps to increase and decrease support as needed. (For me, once I found the right setting I very rarely felt the need to change it throughout my day). Ease of use: It took me three or four days before I felt I had mastered positioning, tightening, and speed. However, I wanted to get it just right and learn to put it on within 30-45 seconds. Mission Accomplished. Time-Saving Tip: To easily tell which side is up, make sure the brace name (mine was Aveston) is right side up. Also the main, wide strap should always Velcro with the side in your right hand over the top of the side in your left. I’m not sure if wearing it upside down would even make a difference, however. Over 8 weeks: Overtime, I became more “in tune” with not only fast and proper fitment, but also determining when to wear it and for what duration. For me (this will be different for everyone), I started off wearing the brace for too long. On a few scorching hot summer days, I did notice the brace getting a bit warm, but in-line with what one would expect from ANY such brace. Life-Hack for Icing: Due to my injury I do need to apply ice semi-regularly. I use Chattanooga’s xl ice pack for my back (the black one). The brace doubles as a fantastic ice pack strap given its width, stretch, and strong Velcro. Other Notes: The Velcro is quite strong and of high quality. Once the straps are set for the day, they will not fail. Adjusting is very easy with the side straps, which also hold strong and appear to me that they will last a long time. Conclusion: If I lost this brace, I would by the same one without looking at other available options. Most likely any issue you have will be caused by improper fitment. Call customer service if you feel it’s just not right and the owner or a rep. will write back with helpful tips, and provide individual attention. Again, A+. *If this review is 5-star with no update listed below this line, you can assume it is working well for me over the long-term. *Will update if an issue arises.

Helpful Support but Better Fit for Mid-Back Than Lower Back
This back brace provides decent support and can help with general back discomfort. It feels reasonably comfortable and does offer stability during use. However, it tends to ride up and doesn’t stay fully positioned on the lower back as intended. Because of that, it ends up providing more support to the mid-back area than the lower back. Even with that issue, it still offers some benefit for posture and light support. It just may not be ideal for targeted lower back pain relief.

Had this brace before when I played golf, and it is amazingly good.
Yes, I played golf, I was a scratch golfer when I had to stop, but I did have this brace before when I played, and it helped me play for 5-6 years longer, results may vary. Honestly though, I did, and I would wear it a few hours after playing to do yard work and stuff, and it would remind me when I was trying to do something stupid. I know, right, a man trying to do something his doctor told him not to play anymore, then would throw his golf club at him after getting beaten by 4 strokes, and down $50 dollars to the patient he thought would be easy money. When I bought this one, I didn't even notice it was the same one, but I'm happy it is. I wore it doing things I shouldn't have been doing, nothing crazy, just throwing 50lb. sacks of concrete off the back of the truck, little things right, and it did remind me about my posture, very important, and not to twist when throwing, but to turn then throw, just like OSHA would tell you on a jobsite, or in training,(I taught basic safety classes for OSHA certifications). Everything was great, no more pain than normal, everyday stuff. Then the next day came. Yeah, the next day came, I put the brace on, and I didn't feel too good about it. Turns out my right hip is out of it's socket, and after lots of money and laying in a tube, I got to find out that I'm old, relatively, that I have arthritis, and I'm either getting a surgeon, (read as overpriced doctor), to scrape out a bunch of calcium that has built up in the ball joint, (yes), or I could get a new hip joint by another surgeon, see above, (no). The biggest thing to take away from this is that without this back brace, I would have kept doing stupid, but manly, stuff until I couldn't walk anymore, and then found out my real problem, and would not have had a choice in the matter. This brace not only helps you do the little things, if you're smart, but it may also let you know if you have, potentially, a bigger problem than just back issues. It's a great brace, at a great price, and it really does help people with slight to moderate back problems, and, probably most importantly, it helps you remember the basics of lifting a load, the correct way, or you can mess your back up faster the way. Buy it, it works, and I'm not one of those people who get a free one to tell you how nice it looks, smells, looks like it would work (really?), that the boxing was very nice, that it didn't get crushed in shipping, (I'll never understand that, why a box with something you can't really crush, is such a big issue if it does, or is there some underground "nice box" web site where you can sell your really "nice box", and how do I get to it.) Please note, I am not a doctor, nor have I played one on TV, cable, straight to cable, movies released overseas, or movies released in the greatest nation in the world, The United States of America, in an actual, honest to God, movie theater. Thank you and good night.
