Does this fit the Nalgene 48oz Everyday water bottle?

Yes, this Wide Mouth Lid will fit the 48oz.

How do you get the replacement on? do you need to warm it first so that it will slip over the rim?

No, you do not need to warm it. (We would not recommend this.) It is a tight fit so that it doesn't fall off easily, but it will go on with a little effort.

Would it fit a hydro flask?

It is wide mouthed not hydro flask
