Awesome Product, held in sandy beach perfectly keeping my line tight in heavy surf (frequent 8 - 10 ft waves from TS Julia) then the legs broke away (as they should) on a hard steady pull and did not affect the fight of a catch or while reeled in to check bait. I reset the legs easily and cast out again. I am buying more at different weights and these will be a staple in my surf gear.

Better have some heavy and a good reel to use these
These work to some degree. My only complaint is that the fingers that dig in the sand do not always let go when reel back and that makes it very difficult to reel in your line. .
