Right Size for the Job
I needed a bridge rectifier package with a low profile for a project that involved an LED-illuminated address sign. There was not a lot of headroom to work with inside this sign, and the KBL406 product was perfect for the job. I had to convert low-voltage AC power from the doorbell circuit into low-voltage DC to drive the LEDs. Adding a small electrolytic capacitor and a small voltage-dropping resistor in the basic KBL406 circuit worked perfectly. I now have a brightly-lit address sign that can be easily seen from the street. Thanks for a great product !
