The PogoPlug Mobile Media Sharing Device lets you quickly access and download all of your files from any computer, mobile device or tablet. PogoPlug gives you a safe place to store all of your files using your existing storage. Automatically back up files stored on your computers and mobile devices to your PogoPlug. Unlike many other solutions, PogoPlug Cloud works to back you up even when you are outside of your home or office network. Share large files and folders instantly. Collaborate on a work project with colleagues or contribute to photo and video albums with friends. PogoPlug makes sharing a snap. PogoPlug lets you post your photos and videos to the most popular social sites with a single click. Your friends can watch your videos and view your photo albums instantly. You own your data, not the social networks. Automatic, Remote Backup for Your Computers and Mobile Devices Backing up is like taking vitamins; we know it's good for us, but it's often too difficult to remember and maintain. Online cloud backup solutions are slow and expensive for large document or photo collections, and attaching a hard drive to your laptop or computer is not practical when you're on the move. Set up Pogoplug in 60 seconds, point all your computers and mobile devices to back up to your Pogoplug, and never worry about backing up again. Continuous Backup on the Go Unlike other solutions, Pogoplug works to safeguard your computers and mobile devices

there's great guides out there on how to solder 3 wires ...
Note: the 5 star rating is for the seller and the product itself, not the company that made these. As you'll notice in other reviews, the company that makes these are going to completely leave you in the dark. So, you can still use these for their intended purpose with no problems. However, you can't enable ssh on these anymore because they have an old firmware version and the method that they have in place to do it is broken with this firmware. They're not going to fix it. That being said, there's great guides out there on how to solder 3 wires to the motherboard (some people have just pressed a 3-wire connector to it while they do the busy work) and get a root serial console. So these, with a little effort, are still a fantastic deal on a tiny linux server, even if you do have to crack them open for soldering and buy a 6 dollar cp2102 serial adapter (NOTE: I tried a bag full of other rs232 serial adapters (prolific, etc), and only when I tried the cp2102 chip that i bought later on did it show anything but garbage on the serial console). If you're not afraid of a little leg work, 7 dollars each is a pretty insane price.Bonus, the little microfiber cloth that comes with this is pretty nice. Not very big, but nice nonetheless.

Hackable Linux computer
Even though the company went out of business, you can follow instructions online to solder some wires to the serial port and connect to the serial terminal. Haven't done much with it but I have some fun plans. For only 10$ I think there are a lot of cool things you can do with it. I'm hoping to set it up as a web or media server.

DEAD SERVICE. DO NOT BUY.
You won't be able to jailbreak it anymore unless you connect a serial to it.Even then, you can just buy something better.THE SERVICE HAS BEEN OFFLINE COMPLETELY FOR MORE THAN A YEARIt won't connect and you'll never be able to log in.
