Brave Gokin 06 : Final Gaigo

An interesting Gokin piece. An unusual robot and one not available from any other source really. Just a little flawed in it really is a much older style of design. The transformation is more than a bit rattly. The articulation of both forms is grossly sub par when compared to a modern offering. But CM's went under years ago, so we need must enjoy what remainders of their quirky offerinsg we can find.Gaigo himself is a good looking robot. The center metal grill is gorgeous being both a bronze gold chrome with traces of copper. As I said above articulation is very very limited. Just very straight single joints for the most part. The legs in the main Gaigo form are weak and tend to compress on themselves. Accesories are limited. Just the wing and 2 connectors used for merging Gaigo with other Brave robot offerings. I would recommend against actually mounting the wing part unless you have no intention of ever removing it. It is pure plastic and attaches by a pair of wedge clips that look like they will just as easily break rather than simply detach.Be warned that the box pictures show a more complete robot than is in the box. Many of the pictures show how it combines with other offerings in the Brave/GaoGaiGar line from CM's. Mainly the Drill Gar and the Stealth Gar 2. These are not in the box. They are separate products.Overall it is a niche product from a now defunct manufacturer. It's not an overly complex Gokin, nor is it the most striking.But it is distinct and unusual. If you collect Brave robots it is a worthy and welcome addition to your collection. At least until Bandai gets around to some of the more obscure robots.
