Southern Made Candles 100 Unscented Soy Tea Lights

Good candles, they don't really last much longer than the paraffin ones I used to buy, maybe a half hour long so total about 6 hours. One reviewer said they last 9 hours but I have not found that to be the case. They burn much brighter than the paraffin ones I used to get, which is nice.The reason why I give them 3 stars is the packaging, which is awful. They're just in plastic and shipped in a slightly padded soft envelope which is obviously not enough protection from accidental drops, etc. On opening the package I had a lot of wax crumbles spill all over, and many of the candles were dented on one side of the tin cups. Considering they cost more than twice as much as a similar quantity of paraffin candles, I expect them to arrive in much better condition than they did.

Glad to find tea candles in quality & quantity unavailable in local stores. Glad,too, to support a U.S.family business using U.S. made material. As another reviewer mentioned, sometimes there's a bit of overflow (or maybe just spilled if the holder was moved), but it's no problem with very user-friendly soy - easy to use the tip of a table knife to flick a bit of solidified soy out of the holder. Holders for soy candles of any size are easily cleaned with hot soapy water, but maybe not wonderful for drain pipes.A safer alternative (with any kind of wax) - set candle holders upside down on paper towel-covered pan & put into oven on lowest heat for a few minutes (wax other than soy might take a bit longer); after wax has melted out of the holders, use a paper towel to wipe off any remaining residual wax.

Don't burn quite as long as some other soy tea lights I've used

I have now been using these candles for almost 2 months and they are amazing!They burn very bright and clean and lasted longer than standard cheap tea lights I bought in the past...Very good quality and very generous size - they are bigger than the typical tea light candle (same diameter, but a taller tin cup).Shipping was prompt and packaging was creative and very good (seller reinforced the package inside with thin wooden piece to ensure candles will not get damaged in shipping and it worked!!).I am so glad I bought the 100 pack and will soon order more.

I am inclined to agree with reviewers who claim these are not soy, at least not 100%. They do not smell like soy when they are extinguished. They smell more like parafin. They do burn clean and bright, but for soy candles they seem unusually smoky and smelly when you put them out.

These candles are great!I use them once a week for my Sabbath and they glow inside myHimalayan crystal salt tea light holder.They melt down gradually and last for more then 5 hours.They have no smell or toxic paraffin wax.I do not use candles that have any chemical ingredients or perfumes.When you light a candle the smell goes into the air. Why would youwant to breathe something that will have a negative affect on your lungsand health. This product will give you peace of mind, especially if youhave people with compromised health - young children, seniors, etc.

The flames are not tall or bright.

I have been very grateful for these candles. They have lasted me quite a long time, having ordered 100, it was VERY worth it! Im just glad that no more toxin parrafin vapors are polluting my home anymore! It has also been nice to offer them as gifts to friends in votives and be able to tell them- its not Parrafin!
