I bought this screen replacement kit after my daughter’s iPad 9 took a hard fall and the front glass shattered. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I wanted to try fixing it myself before paying a hefty repair fee or replacing the whole device. This kit ended up being a great solution.It came with everything needed to get the job done—tools, adhesive, and even a replacement home button. The instructions were easy enough to follow, and I found a couple of helpful YouTube videos to walk me through the trickier steps. The process took about an hour and a half, mostly because I wanted to be extra careful, but it was totally manageable.Once installed, the new screen worked perfectly. The touch sensitivity feels just like the original, and the display looks clean and clear. The home button works fine too, though as advertised, it doesn’t support Touch ID. That wasn’t a big deal for us.Overall, I’m really happy with how it turned out. If you’re comfortable with DIY repairs and have a bit of patience, this kit is a solid, affordable alternative to a professional repair. Definitely recommend it.

It works great and comes with everything needed to do the job. I simply opened the shipment and got to work.The process took about an hour, my screen was still mostly whole and not completely shattered.I would recommend anyone to purchase if in the market for a gen9 screen.

My daughter accidentally smashed her Ipad screen and this saved me from having to buy her a whole new Ipad. The directions and tools that came with this kit all worked great. It took me a bit from start to finish but most of that time was due to cleanup of the old screen. Outside of that the process was pretty simple and everything fit well and looks great. You can't tell that the screen was replaced and it all feels the same as it did with the original screen. Was nice to get the extra screen protector as well. Great product, would definitely buy again but hopefully I won't have to.

This screen replacement saved me so much money! My ipad screen cracked. I took it to a local place to get it replaced and they wanted $200! This product brought all the tools necessary to remove the broken screen and install this new one. I was able to fix my ipad screen myself by watching the instruction video and I’m not techie at all! It fit perfectly. Ipad is like new. You can’t tell that the screen was replaced. Would 100% recommend.

I’m very happy with this. The installation videos were not great, they could’ve shown things a little bit better/slower, but it is easy to do if you take your time. With the removal of the old screen, I could use a razor blade to get us started, but beyond that I had to use the orange pry tool that they provided.

The product came quick and as advertised. My son had completely shattered his previous screen. The hardest part of the repair for me was cleaning out all of the old broken glass. The product was straightforward in install, and worked immediately when turning back on. Very good cost effective replacement if you are willing to to through the steps of the replacement.

I came across this screen replacement when looking into options to repair or replace my son's iPad that he recently dropped and cracked the screen. I decided to give this a shot first before buying a replacement. A professional repair was not worth the cost in my option due to the age of the device. I'm very happy I went this route! The screen looks brand new and functions just as good as the original.The installation is tedious and time consuming. It took me about 90 mins to complete and multiple times re-watching the installation videos to make sure I was performing every step correctly. Be sure to setup a clean working environment, fully understand each step, and take your time. The instructions provided and online videos could be improved and more detailed to make installation easier.

This is a great product, but *** WARNING *** fixing a broken iPad screen is not for the feint of heart. It took me three hours in total. Everything you need to do the repair is included in the kit. There are also links to instructional videos on YouTube. The instructions are fair at best. The videos are too fast and brush over some steps. I also found my Gen 9 iPad was slightly different inside than what the video showed. For me, the most time consuming step was removing the shattered screen from the very sticky glue that was applied in production. There were hundreds of thousands of tiny shards of glass with sticky backing on them. I wore black nitrile gloves so as not to get splinters. I had a vacuum cleaner nearby and every so often vacuumed up the tiny shards of glass. The gloves were not included in the kit, but should be. The video shows an unbroken screen being removed. This is unrealistic. It should show how to remove a crumbling shattered screen.All this said, if you take your time, (and you have plenty of time!) you can fix your broken screen on the first attempt. Yes I’d buy this again. And shame on Apple for making products that are very difficult to repair.
