This is just what I needed! When I recently packed up and moved cross country somehow the remotes for most things just disappeared. I really have no idea what happened but things like that can occur so it's nice that there are so many options for replacements online. When I saw that this one was available I was extremely hopeful that it would work with mine and sure enough it does! In fact it's perfect. I can use it for everything that I need it to do without any problems or hassles. My favorite part was not having to do any set up or programming as you have to do with certain ones out there. I like and would highly recommend this Sony replacement remote!

Great replacement - quality feels a bit questionable.
Lost our OEM remote in a recent move, and was happy to find a replacement for a good price. Shipped quick, worked with recommended batteries and synced up to our Bluray player without issue.With that being said, we haven't had this replacement remote for long, but I have a feeling it'll need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The plastic body and battery cover are REALLY thin and flexible and it doesn't appear like its held together completely. LOOKS identical to the original, but the plastic body construction is definitely different.

Found a Sony blu-ray player with HDMI output at Goodwill for $10 with no remote. I bought this remote and it works perfect withh no fuss - just install batteries and it instantly worked.

Works much better than TV remote
The remote control does as advertised. It can fast forward and rewind the DVDs at different rates. My TV remote could skip chapters, but it could only fast forward and rewind most of my DVDs by a frame or two at a time. Obviously, that made for a very frustrating experience if I missed something. It would take a few minutes to rewind about 10 seconds worth of the movie. I also appreciate the Subtitle button on the remote, which allows you to quickly toggle between different language captions while the movie is playing. And the remote enables me to quickly access settings, where I can toggle on and off the commentary during the movie. The only small downside is I can't seem adjust the volume with the DVD remote. But that may just be an issue related to my setup, and it's not a big deal.The remote requires 2 AAA batteries, and it does not need to be programmed. As soon as those batteries are inserted, it works on the DVD player immediately.
