Olympia Tools Seber Autoload Utility Knife AL2450CP

This thing is awesome. It's all metal, so it feels heavy and sturdy in your hand. It's got a semi-rough finish so it won't slip out very easily. This thing will chew through refrigerator boxes, washer/dryer boxes, etc. all day long no problems.The auto-load feature is sweet for someone like me who opens tons of boxes (Sears backroom). When your blade gets dull simply pull on knob thing back and turn the blade around so you use the other edge of the same blade. When that edge runs out use the same knob to pull the blade out. Then simply use the retractor and retract it all the way back and all the way forward to feed a new blade from it's internal storage of blades.This thing can hold quite a few blades (up to 10 I think it was? Can't remember but it's a lot). It's a bit stiff at first but an hour or two of use and it breaks in far easier than a new pair of leather boots.The back end of it clips on and off if you have somewhere on your kit where you like to clip stuff on to.It's also not too cumbersome, it's only about 5-6 inches long. The blade, when fully extended, extends about an inch, maybe a little less, but more than enough to cut through the thickest of boxes.

This knife is great. High quality and functions really well. It has a carabiner clip which can be used to hook onto something pretty thin (work pant belt loops are too thick and don't work well with the size of this clip), but I really wish it had a belt clip attached to the back so I can clip it to a belt or to a pocket for easy access. We use these types of razor knives pretty often throughout the day as painters, and this is the only reason why I'm not purchasing more for our crew. If it had a clip, this would probably be the best knife we've ever tried. However, if you don't mind putting it in your pocket and diggin for it when you need it, or you'll be able to clip it to something thin on your pants or work belt, then I would highly recommend this knife.

Purchased this for my part-time job; didn't like the company-provided cutters and wanted something I could use with the [Erodyne Squids 3001 Retractable Single Carabiner] having the loop at the end - prevents me from losing or misplacing the cutter when I'm focusing on the task at hand. The all-metal cutter feels solid and secure in-hand and the top-sliding switch works perfectly; however, sometimes when I remove the cutter from my pant-leg pocket holster (large enough for an iPhone) it will sometimes unlock the blade compartment and I would end up picking up the fallen blade(s) from the floor - perhaps a twist locking mechanism would be better (as this task wouldn't have to be so convenient). The auto-loading feature is great and provides less downtime from having to change the blade.Update (2-months later)Purchased Aug 1, 2016; I resorted to purchasing another brand due to the Seber AL2450CP Autoload Knife falling apart. There are numerous hex-screws that hold the metal casing together - two of them came undone and were lost; thus, becoming inoperable. It went through vigorous use and abuse in a fast-pace environment and performed superbly well until it fell apart.

Outstanding. Rugged and well made. Love the blade magazine which lets you slide the new blade in easily. I'm a carpenter and use this all day every day. I'm too busy/dirty/much up a ladder to frig around with other systems. As I have with utility knives in the past. If you need a blade just press a button and slide up the next. Tried a bunch of knives and a bunch of designs. These keep the blade fixed with no wobble or slip. Occasionally I take this apart and clean out drywall and sawdust and it goes straight back together, good as new. Great feel and sturdy.

No pocket clip. Jammed up a couple times. I had a master force one I gave to a client who thought it was very nice. So I got this one thinking it was nice quality. Looks nice. But I guess I will just keep this one at home for odd jobs around the house

Seber AL2450CP Autoload Knife... This knife is nearly perfect. works very well. Tough built and should hold up well. I really like the extra blades in the handle and the easy blade changes. I would definitely buy another if needed.

best razor you will buy , built like a tank , perfect ergonomics , and the amazing auto load for new razors from inside the handle is the best thing ever .and top that off with an awesome price .
