***PLEASE think twice before using this with a drill! A drill is too powerful and can literally melt the plastic gears causing the machine parts to fuse together leaving you with an unusable machine. BUT a 4V rechargeable screwdriver is perfect!*** I’ve been using adapters and power screwdrivers with my Sentros for over a year with no issues, so I decided to try this one for the Addi. One month in and everything is working perfectly. I struggle with keeping a consistent speed when hand cranking so my tension isn’t consistent that way. With the adapter, I pull my yarn out of the skein before starting (so the tension is consistent) and my projects look way better than they ever did when I hand cranked.

I’m not sure about ergonomics as this is an electric screw driver or drill attachment to use those on the Addi. It fits perfectly on my electric screwdriver and Addi handle. It is very easy to use. I’m not sure it is a good idea to use a screwdriver or drill on an Addi because you can damage your machine. Although this attachment fits well and works well. Very inexpensive. I got 4 for less than $10. I have only needed one. I would recommend these attachments. They work well.

Using an adapter with a battery powered screwdriver or drill really takes the pain out of cranking row after row of stitches! You'll find that your stitches look better as they will be much more uniform in size when you can concentrate more on feeding the yarn in with steady tension. I try to keep the speed about the same every time, so that the machine is not strained. I've not had one stitch drop while using the power driver attachment. No tucked stitches, either! Note that you don't need to remove anything from your machine, it slips right over the crank and the handle is accommodated easily. My order came with two black adapters and one metal drill bit, as shown in the description. My husband bought me a special 18v drill so I can share his assortment of rechargeable batteries that are always charged and ready to use. The drill he bought for me has a 90* angle to make it easier to position the drill on my work table. You can use any model drill or screwdriver but this is the one I'm using: Ryobi PSBRA02
