EWARE 5K119 Mini Office Bedroom Ultrasonic Humidifier

my allergies have gotten bad in the last year and a friend told me about humidifiers. i didn't know if a humidifier would help my situation, so i bought this one since it isn't too pricey. it worked great, and i would wake up each morning able to breathe. i only used it at night while i slept, and slowly it started working less than 8 hours. i cleaned it every other day. thought i was doing a great job of it, but recently it stopped working. i examined it thoroughly to find out that there was one little area that started to get pink-colored. i believe it is part of the motor; a circular piece that has a round disc around it. this little disc can move a hair up and down too. well, since it doesn't move very much, it is extremely difficult to clean under it. you would need something as small as a toothpick, but flexible enough like a chenille stem (craft pipe cleaner) to do a good job. it worked for only one night after i cleaned it. the motor was starting to sound different, so i'm wondering if are more problems with it too. i've used it every night for just over 2 months. anyway, since i know a humidifier now works for my allergies, i will be looking into something more durable at a higher price...will be more worth it for me.

This is a good humidifier. It's a good size, just good enough for a small office or bedroom. I got this because the air in my room gets so dry in the winter time and there is so much static produced from the dry air. So, it does a fair job at reducing the static in my room and it's great to sleep with.It does make minimal sounds as the water level decreases in the tank, however, it's not enough to disturb you during sleep. It gives off a cool mist, and from what I can see it doesn't get anything else wet around it. Considering I have it placed on my dresser in my room right next to my cell phone charger. Essentially, it's a good buy. Good pricing and works really well. I've had zero problems with it. My only compliant is the little orange light that lights up when it's on. It's a bit bright at night when all the lights are off. So, I recommend tapping something dark over it, it you are sensitive to lighting when you're going to bed with the humidifier on.

I purchased this humidifier about a year ago, and it has seen about 5 months of overnight use during that period.Pros:-It was very cheap.-It does a decent job creating a comfortable level of humidity in a 13 x 15 room.Cons:-It was never very quiet to begin with, and now that it is getting older it is getting noisier. Sometimes, especially during the first hour or so of running, it gets REALLY noisy, but for some reason a good whack usually quiets it back down.-The power light is extremely bright. It is really surprisingly oh-so-bright. If you are planning on using this while you sleep, I recommend putting a piece of electrical tape or something over the light. If you don't, it will probably keep you awake. (I stole this idea from another commenter.)-The upper half, especially the tank, is very difficult to clean thoroughly. Plan on either soaking the thing in bleachy water every couple of weeks or using a humidifier anti-fungal solution. The base is somewhat easier to clean, but it does have some nooks and crannies you will need to clean with something like a toothbrush.-Its runtime on a full tank is inconsistent. Sometimes I get eight or nine hours, sometimes I get five or six. Perhaps this is a function of the ambient humidity. I don't know.

We bought one of these last year for use in our bedroom, and we liked it so much we just bought another for our son's room. I do wish the tank was just a shade bigger as it often doesn't quite run all night, but it makes it most of the way. It keeps the room nice and humid without being wet. It's easy to refill the tank too. The light is kind of bright and disruptive while sleeping, but we just stick a sock or something in front of it and it is ok. We've had other humidifiers in this price range and they just didn't do the trick, either way too small, too loud, leaked, etc. For the price, we think this is a good option.

I have a larger humidifier that works great, but is too much for my rather small bedroom with limited ventilation. My walls were getting soggy with my old one, and I was a bit scared of mold. I went looking around for a smaller humidifier, and this one seemed like the best bet.It works great! We turn it on for about an hour or two at night before going to sleep, and it keeps things very comfortable. Because the room is small, we don't have to leave it running all night, but I like that it's just big enough to do so if I DID want to. Very little noise (the small desk fan behind it drowns it out entirely), and it puts out a good amount of steam. When we get up in the morning, we click it on for about 30 minutes to "top off" the humidity in the room. It's perfect.The room I have it in is about 10' x 8', possibly 9'. It has a slant wall on one side, so the dimensions aren't exact. It always bothers me when people say "It works great in my small room" but don't ever give dimensions on the room. So there you have it. In a 10x8 room, it works fine and my walls are dry as a bone in the morning after using it at night. :)

I purchased this product based on the online reviews, most were very good. It arrived quickly and I did like the size. It was compact and perfect for a bedroom. I did not like the gurgling sounds it made while in operation but after 30 minutes the lack of gurgling noise was my indication it was no longer working. I agree with other reviews that the on/off light is too bright for the bedroom but this wasn't a deal breaker because I immediately covered it with a hand towel, problem solved. I really needed this product and I am very disappointed that it stopped functioning. I reluctantly give 2 stars, but only because the size was perfect and the delivery was quick.Purchase at your own risk. Now I have to package it up, send it back and start a new search.
