We bought this thing a few months ago absolutely love it. I like that it has the fan openings on both sides seems like it has a really good fan. We make sure to keep the fan open so it doesn't get too hot. We use it daily it's a good price. Everything seems to be working great. It's functional easy to use no funny smell or taste. And it looks nice

Updated:I originally gave one star because of the reasons down below, but once I emailed them again and provided the video and the documentation and the photographs as they requested, they were really good about everything. They are sending me a new unit. Lots of hoops to jump through to get a replacement, but I understand that they have to make sure that they’re not being scammed for a second free icemaker.Icemaker died after six weeks. It started making clicking and grinding and popping noises, so I turned it off and turned it back on again, and it started making its normal humming noise, but will no longer produce ice. I contacted the company and gave them the Amazon order number as they requested and explained the issue, now they want me to send them an invoice document other than the order number from Amazon that I already sent them. (There is no invoice document!) They also want me to send a photograph of the back of the machine and take a video narrating the problem so they can supposedly help me troubleshoot. There is no troubleshooting to be done. The ice machine pump motor obviously burned out and stopped producing ice! I contacted Amazon as well and they told us that we would need to contact Amazon’s warranty department with no instructions on how to go about doing that. You Are Amazon, I’m talking to you!So basically I’m getting the runaround after spending almost $200 on this damn thing and having it crap out on me after six weeks of use…never again with this company

I bought this to replace my very cheap ice maker that was very slow and made these weird ghost shaped nuggets that were easy to choke on. I definitely like the type of crunchy cubes this makes much butter but it is still fairly slow and the ice comes out slushy, so you have to break it up after you transfer it to the fridge. I live in AZ where it's just freakin' hot no matter what, so I'm hoping in winter this might work more efficiently. I use refrigerated water which helps it along, but you still have to empty it right away or else it starts to melt.In hindsight, I probably would have just bit the bullet and got an even more expensive one like my friend has but it's fine for just me. It definitely would not keep up with a family. You'd be filling it constantly. Better yet, I wish I could find a handyman to just run a water line to my fridge! But this is my compromise...

We love this ice machine. After reading many reviews and watching user videos, I decided on this one for its cost, ease of use and cleaning, ice production, and small size for sitting on the countertop. We use a lot of ice and our fridge ice maker does not work well sadly. We waited the recommended 24 hours, leaving the machine upright in the box. Then we loaded it with water, plugged it in, and pressed the button; it began making ice within 6 minutes. (we tossed the first 5 batches or so as rec.) It has a slight hum when it is on, but nothing bothersome to us. Some say this ice cannot be frozen, or it turns into a block of ice, but we figured out a way that works for us. Once the ice basket is full, we dump the ice in a bin in our freezer. After we get a good amount of ice in the bin, we break it up with an ice pic We may have to do this a couple of times, but we are ok with that for the amount of ice we can produce over a few hours.This is our second Silon ice machine. The first one turned on but never made ice. We returned with no hassle and ordered the one we now have. It just must have been a bad machine. We are thankful the return was easy.

If you’re looking for nice crunchy, chewy, soft ice like sonic and chic-fil-a has, look no further! This is probably my favorite part of my kitchen! It’s super easy to set up and clean. I have it sitting beside my sink because I can use my water spout to fill the reservoir, which is under the vented basket so that as the ice melts it will freeze again and make ice constantly. It turns off if it gets low on water and has a self cleaning mode. One full run gives me a good 3-5 cups of ice depending on size!

I deliberately bought expensive ice maker to assure I get quality.It arrived, I opened it. Not working!No ice but water. From second it was on. Too expensive for such a disappointment. Please replace.
