Don’t make the mistake I did with Amazons Choice
As I looked at the YouTube video for setting up the Dado Stop I realized I had not purchased the “Pro” edition. As a result I don’t have the kerf template measuring device! What the freaking whatcha call it!!! Sure wished I’d bought the Pro version. The Dado Stop alone is $25 and change. The Pro edition (that I should have purchased) is $64 and change, coming with the kerf measurement guide, a MatchFit clamp, and the Dado device. Better go “whole hog” or you’ll be wondering where all the pieces are. It appears to be an awesome system for dado cutting, but then again what MatchFit product isn’t the best you could find. None I’ve seen. I own several of the stuff! It’s good!!Thanks for looking!

BEST VALUE Shop purchase I've made in a long time
On my very first project using the MatchFit Dado Stop, I followed the simple instructions and cut perfectly sized, snug dadoes. The dadoes were for slide in shelves on a Matchbox/Hot Wheels display case for my grandson. This is undoubtedly one of the best shop purchases I've made in a long time. The Dado Stop is a simple, clean design. It is sturdy and the moving parts move smoothly and lock securely in place. I was pleasantly surprised by the magnets in the base that helped secure it to the saw table during adjustment.

Great idea, I just wish you would have designed it to use track say clamps, your clamps are terribly expensive! I love all of your items y'all come up with, but lower your prices a bit!

Very clear instructions come with this jig, although you won't need to read them more than once, since they are also written ON the jig.One downside (not the jig's fault); since this attaches to your rip fence, the size of stock you can use with this is limited a bit by how far back your sled/mitre gauge/sliding table/etc can go back.

The greatest thing to hit dados since dado blades!
I just love this thing! It's so easy to use and so accurate! Why didn't someone come up with this years ago? So many wasted minutes and boards trying to get the right dado width. NOT ANY MORE! With this jig you get it right first-time every-time!

Good jig, if a little pricey. Requires some setup
Be warned, this is not a plug-and-play tool. It requires some careful calibration & some practice to master!I have a Bosch table saw & after my first failed attempts at cutting a dado, I realised I needed to do some tune-up & modification work to my mitre gauge, fence & throat plate. This is not the fault of the jig. I tend to use the table saw mostly for rip cuts & the odd bit on the crosscut sled. I spent about half an hour dialling everything in & altering the wooden fence attached to the mitre gauge.Next was learning how to use the Dado jig correctly. The included instructions are pretty good but don't cover everything, so you will need to go through some trial-and-error familiarization with some scrap plywood to grasp the procedure. I found the key was setting the adjustable arms correctly. Like Goldilocks & the Three Bears. Not too loose, not too tight. Just gently kissing the blade & inset piece. With some more practice & familiarity, I think this will be a useful addition to my arsenal. I like to make my own jigs where possible, so shelling out £30 for a small lump of plastic hurt a bit but I already have the clamps, dovetail router bits & the little setup gauge, so it made sense to complete the set.I'm sure it will do a good job, as has the other Microjig gear. They do seem to have thought things through to be user-friendly, which is just as well, as the Chinese have them beaten hands down for aluminium knockoffs, which cost less & look nicer. I do think there is a case to be made for rewarding innovation & Microjig's gear is innovative, so perhaps the few extra bucks will incentivise more useful tools to be developed in future. It's early days but so far I'd give this a 4/5. It's a little pricey for a plastic tool & the instructions could be a little more extensive but half the fun is working it out for yourself & mastering a new skill, so fun in that regard. Just don't buy this thinking you'll clamp it on & be cutting perfect dados in minutes (depending on your skills - perhaps I'm just a little slow!)

A revior
ce matériel pratique sert pour une coupe à droite de la lame. Pour les gaucher avec un guide de coupe à gauche il y à de gros problème. Il convient d'être attentif.

Works perfect and super easy to use!
The Matchfit Dado Stop works great! Very first test cut I did with it had absolutely perfect fitting dados, a real time saver! (and wood saver!) .... I've seen plans to make a homemade one, but at $30, I think its well worth it!
