Does this only work for 1,000-piece puzzles?

Each tray has a full 10" x 10" interior room to spread a color group in one layer instead of piling pieces up. The flat floor and low walls keep pieces face-up, so you read shape and cut at a glance instead of digging.

How many puzzle pieces does the 8-tray set hold?

Up to 2,000 pieces across all eight trays. For a 1,000-piece puzzle, most puzzlers use four to six trays — edges in one, color families in the rest — and keep the extras for overflow. A 2,000-piece puzzle uses the full set.

Why are the trays white instead of black or a color?

Because contrast is what makes sorting fast. Dark or patterned trays swallow the edges of dark pieces. A bright white floor makes every outline and printed detail pop under lamplight — you scan the tray instead of searching it.

Can I use the trays for anything besides puzzles?

Plenty of people do. The 10" x 10" white interior works the same way for beads, buttons, coins, small game components, and craft findings — anything easier to handle when it is separated, visible, and can be put away between sessions.

Will this work on a small table?

That is what the stackable design is for. Keep two or three trays out while you work and stack the rest to the side, rotating as you move through color groups. You get eight trays of sorting without losing the whole table.
