I've had this drive for years now and it's still works like it did when I got it. It has some wear and tear based on the Kingston software tool that you can download for it, but for the low cost you can't go wrong. Last time I checked the number it was still in the mid 90% "good" range since the laptop doesn't get used everyday. Granted it isn't as durable as the Samsung SATA disk counterpart in my main computer and won't come close to the even faster PCI-e SSD's used for the boot and games drives. I didn't buy it for that though, it was used to upgrade my HP 8770W laptop computer's original HDD. I am very happy with the 250GB version, very affordable price as well for what little I use it. The read/write speeds for this disk top out at around 550MB/s on SSD to SSD transfers which is the max speed of the SATA interface and pretty much the same for all SATA type solid state drives. I tired that out directly using the 2nd drive bay in the laptop to connect my other Samsung 870 EVO alongside the Kingston. The Kingston was setup as the main disk of course, and the Samsung was removed after testing it out that way. You'll see a noticeable improvement in loading time for everything when updating from the now almost obsolete platter disk drives. I would buy this again, and may again some day whenever the one I have now fails. It should last for years really since the laptop this drive is in is seldom used these days. Recently one of my great nieces has began using it for random computer gaming so it will wear out at some point I suppose. It seems very durable so far though. It was very easy to install, only required a small + type screw driver and then installing a fresh copy of Windows 11 on the drive. It was a very fast Windows install, finishing the install process in less than 10 minutes. If you are just using it as a second disk and not installing an OS on it then you may have to initialize the disk before the operating system can see it for formatting. Some people may use other methods to preserve their original disk data like disk cloning or raid setups. There wasn't much of anything of value on the original disk so installing from nothing was not a problem. Of course I have all the drivers and such for the older laptop backed up on a flash drive, and an additional hard drive in case HP drops the model from their support pages. I guess that sums it then, hope the review helps other people choose the SSD that fits their needs.

Some may say that the case seems lightweight, but modern materials are *made to be just as strong while being thiner and lighter weight, so don't let that deter you! I have been using, upgrading and repairing my own computers (as well as those of friends and family) since 1980 - and I am very picky about how I spend my money. I choose this SSD for it's relative speed, which is on par with everything else except the most expensive "cutting edge" models, as it went into a machine that is just a daily driver, not something I am expecting to be the worlds fastest. I also choose it because, even though it's being used for general day to day computing, I can not stand failures due to sub-standard hardware, and Kingston's products are very reliable! Kingston's length of warrany on this SSD bears this out. I bought this a few months ago, and it has not given me any trouble at all. It is very fast (especially compared to even the fastest mechamical hard disks). Very easy install, even for a novice. Great Warranty. I guess it would be better if it also cleaned the bath tub for me, but I suppose that would be asking a bit much, because most people don't enjoy clraning the tub, so it's safe to assume SSD's find it every bit as much of a pain in the back, right? Ik heb onlangs de Kingston interne SSD aangeschaft om mijn oudere laptop een verjongingskuur te geven en ik moet zeggen dat ik zeer tevreden ben met de prestaties van deze schijf. Het vervangen van mijn oude harde schijf door deze Kingston interne SSD was eenvoudig en de installatie verliep soepel. De snelheid en responsiviteit van mijn laptop zijn aanzienlijk verbeterd sinds de upgrade. Het opstarten van mijn laptop en het openen van programma's gaan nu razendsnel en zonder enige vertraging. Het is geweldig om te zien dat mijn laptop weer als nieuw is en veel beter presteert dan voorheen. Ik heb ook gemerkt dat deze Kingston interne SSD bijzonder geschikt is voor het installeren van Linux. Het besturingssysteem draait soepel en probleemloos op mijn laptop en ik kan er zonder problemen mee werken. Dit betekent dat ik mijn oude laptop weer kan gebruiken voor taken zoals surfen op internet, het werken met documenten en het kijken van video's, zonder dat ik me zorgen hoef te maken over vertragingen of vastlopers. Ik ben zeer tevreden met deze Kingston interne SSD en ik zou het ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die zijn oude laptop een upgrade wil geven. Het is een betaalbare manier om je laptop een tweede leven te geven en om te genieten van de voordelen van moderne technologie. Creo que es un SSD bastante honesto para quien busca mejorar un equipo sin gastar demasiado. Si vienes de un disco duro tradicional, la diferencia es notable: el sistema arranca más rápido, los programas se abren sin ese retardo molesto y la respuesta general del equipo parece “nueva”. Para un uso cotidiano; Windows, navegación, ofimática, edición ligera, juegos casuales cumple muy bien.
