Performs better than far more expensive flat irons
I own this as well as the Bio Ionic 10x flat iron, which retails for over $200. Comparing the two, they have their pluses and minuses, but considering the price, I'd say this one is the better buy. It actually curls and flat irons more effectively than the Bio Ionic when set to the same temp. Not sure if it's the titanium coating on the plates, but it seems to do a better job of transferring heat. That said, because it's so efficient, I do feel like it damages my hair more than the Bio Ionic. This one also has slightly longer plates that the Bio Ionic by about 0.5" (both have extra long plates when compared to a standard flat iron) and the casing gets less hot when in use. I also like that it has about a one inch section at the end that the plates do not reach, so that area of the casing stays cool and gives me an easy place to place my fingers as I guide the flat iron down the hair. Cons: The cord is too short, but I purchased a 3ft extension cord and solved that problem. Not dual voltage, but that's only an issue if you travel out of the country frequently. Finally, unlike the Bio Ionic, which is smooth as butter, the Conair does snag a bit. I think this is due to the edges of the plate being somewhat unfinished, which leaves them rough. It doesn't snag to the point where it's pulling out hairs, but it does make the experience less pleasant.

Amazing
I have pretty thin, frizzy, brittle hair due to bleaching. This smooths it out so well without damage and doesn’t yank on my hair. It gets pretty hot, and it’s not cheap feeling. The iron is pretty long. It looks so luxurious and also works well with curling.

Works well, smooths quickly, pretty to look at!
I am a professional hairstylist. Due to recent times my income hasn’t been much. My professional Paul Mitchell flat iron broke in the middle of all of this of course!I looked at reviews and trials of this flat iron online. I have frizzy, wavy hair that is medium thickness and collar bone length. This flat iron worked GREAT! I set it on 355 degrees. It didn’t crunch through my ends (which desperately need a trim from a professional stylist friend and not my kitchen shears on a wine drink Tuesday night) and it smoothed perfectly straight in two passes. The rainbow color is fun and looks pretty when it’s on my counter which is some strange bonus in my book lolI would definitely buy this again based on how well it works and the price. I can’t imagine this will last a long time in a professional setting like I need it to, but for now I’m willing to give it a shot to get me through until I can invest in another professional flat iron.

Works
It gets hot. Straightens my 3B/C hair with a few passes. Good value for the costThe nubs that hold it can be a small annoyance.

No Breakage Even on Fine, 3B Curls!
Love this flat iron. No breakage, multiple heat settings for safety as well or desired look.I like the width, length, and titanium personally, for my hair it means less sections to part! Very very good product!

Watch your heat
I saw many reviews from other black women(I'm also black) who said it damaged their hair, so I was very anxious to buy. I washed my hair with shear moisturizer. When rensing out the conditioner I left some in the hair. I applied chi hair protector serum and the dark and lovely blow out heat protector before blow drying. I started on medium warm heat, when I got it as straight as possible, I finished with a hight heat and would put the hair strand on cool right after. I applied olaplex #3, both chi, and dark and lovely protector on the hair again after the blow dry. When I went to straighten I only used heat setting of 320. After, I applied some more olaplex and wrapped my hair in a circle then into a bonnet(repeated bonned wrap every night). I never straightened two days in a row. And in a week I passed the straightener only 3x or less in big chuncks on 320. Four times I used the setting on 350 and no problems. My hair was kept damage free and bone straight in mid-west humidity for TWO MONTHS. No issues. I highly recommend. Btw I am a all natural curly hair women. Never dyed or anything to my hair and its 4a for refrence.
