UCO Compact Strike Anywhere Stormproof Matches 10 Boxes/32 Matches Per Box

As it gets harder to find good old strike anywhere matches with only one US based brand left (Diamond), it is good to have an alternative. No, these aren't Ohio Blue Tips but they're gone forever. These UCO 'penny' sized matches light every time on a rough surface, they're sturdy enough for penny size and will fit in your pack. Recommended.Now if we could only have a US source for Redbird strike anywhere kitchen matches... (they're a Canadian brand but made in the US, Diamond's are now made in Chile, go figure

These are not "storm proof", but as a loyal Diamond match customer for decades, I was thoroughly disappointed when their red tip"strike Anywhere" matches became green tip "please, for the love of god, strike somewhere" matches. The UCO strike anywhere matches are the perfect replacement for the disillusioned Diamond match user.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It’s hard to find them, but this brand of matches consistently strike easily against most surfaces. I purchased them to use with the Jonathan Adler Match Strike and they work with just one strike.

It strikes just like the old Diamond strike anywhere matches. The quality of the wood is good and very consistent. The matches strike consistently, and burn consistently. It's going to take me awhile to go through this brick of matches, but I'll definitely buy this again.

Not impressed with the wood because they tend to break. I would not put these in my butgout bag but they are okay for lighting your grill, if you don't mind breaking 2 or 3 matched before you get there fire going. (they break while striking on the box too) I miss the old school ones my grandma used to light her stove. Lol

They are strike anywhere matches but broke easily even with gentle striking. I will keep them in my bugout kit but would only use as a last resort.

It was very difficult to find "strike anywhere" matches for my Jonathan Adler match strike. But these worked perfectly!
