These cashews are very good quality, fresh with a delicate crunch for snaking and baking. Also excellent for making nut milk. Soaking them first gives you a virtually grit-free milk that has calcium in it. I'm on my 5th bag with no problems. They sell at a pretty good price, and are packaged in a heavy, resealable plastic bag that keeps them fresh. UPDATE: 2/06/16 Still buying these nuts. Still happy with them. UPDATE: 1/17/17 I'm on Bag #15 and still very happy with these nuts. I've found a few interesting uses: 1. Munching 2. Making cashew milk 3. Making cashew cream for coffee and tea 4. Making raw cashew butter, super comfort food 5. Making roasted cashew butter - darn good 6. Making Vegan Butter substitute, surprisingly good. Google it. I don't add the zanthan or guar gums, just water, refined coconut oil, lecithin granules and sea salt.

Good quality nuts, but lacking in taste I associate with Cashews, not suites for roasting and salted choices, perhaps great for cashew butter or paste or vegan cheese, I don't do any of those.

Love, love, love these cashews. Fresh and slightly sweet. I like to eat them raw, even though, they are not really raw. There is a toxic resin inside the shell layer. If the shell is not opened properly, the resin will get on the cashew nut, making it inedible. Most companies steam the shell open at a high temperature, thus cooking the cashew nut inside. Only one nut producer in Indonesia uses a special technique with specially-designed tools (without using any heat at all) to open the shell cleanly every time without ever exposing the cashew nut to the resin. The raw cashews are much sweeter, tastier, and nutritious than their cooked counterparts and cost more. So these are labeled raw, however, they have been steamed I am sure, however, they are not toasted and taste more delicious than most other raw ones I have ever purchased in stores. Anyway, great to snack on or to make raw sour cream, and many other raw things or in baking.
