What is this about the back being plastic?

It's particle board with a thin overlay that may be plastic. The dart board covers most of it. The whole cabinet is this way with a cherry wood look. We enjoy it for our game room. There are more expensive all wood ones available, but this is good for the occasional game room night. It's a nice addition for us. We enjoy it.

Where are the led lights located I can't see them in photos
