Blade of the Immortal Omnibus Volume 1 Review: If you're a fan of the show I PROMMISE you'll love this more! - After watching the entire series on Prime Video I found out abut these books and decided to just try it out. I don't usually read graphic novels or manga but after reading through this I found there is soooo much more to the story and the characters! I only put the book down once during my reading and it was to order the next 3 books solely because of the detail in the artwork and the advancement given to the characters. The character development in the written series surpasses what I thought it would have been and I'm so happy to say that! Review: An incredible manga classic in an affordable, handsomely packaged omnibus! - Stellar. Gorgeous. Fantastic. Samura’s blood-drenched classic is a visual feast, full of memorable characters, exotic weapons, and gruesome, over-the-top moments of violence. If you’re unfamiliar with the series, this affordable omnibus is easily the best way* to see what it’s all about. Note: While it’s a bit of a shame that the series isn’t presented in manga’s traditional right-to-left format, there is no English-language version of the comic available that presents it the Japanese way (and I don’t suspect one will be available anytime soon), and Dark Horse HAS gone through painstaking effort to preserve Samura’s original artwork in this left-to-right presentation. *Tip: If you’re still on the fence, check out the new anime on desertcart Video. As of now (12/20/19), there haven’t been very many episodes released, but it is another great way for newcomers to get into the series or for existing fans to revisit it. Tip 2: I would suggest skipping the other adaptations (another anime from 2008 and a live-action movie, directed by Takashi Miike) unless you’re already a fan of the series.

A nice omnibus
Amazing edition for those who never had the chance to collect a physical copy, the book is printed in a nice format size, and while it lacks a hard cover format, is still an outstanding print for the fans of the series. I've already had books 1 and 2, but this edition is so cheap that I didn't mind paying the price, since most of the single issues that I still own are in bad shape..

Good
It's good but not great, I much prefer vagabond to this. But i love samurai stuff so I'll keep reading the series as it's supposed to get better.

Fantastic
The art in this manga is fantastic and flows really well. The story follows the main character helping a girl get revenge and while that might sound like your generic revenge story, here its done really well.

Love it, it's similar to the neon Genesis Evangelion ...
Love it, it's similar to the neon Genesis Evangelion omnibus form which people say is the definitive way to read Eva instead of the single volumes, you could say the same for this release over time if anything
