This is the one...
This stand is PERFECT! I love everything about it. It is compact, simple in design, and adjusts to accommodate any guitar. (I have a classical.) It folds and unfolds easily, and the protective silicone pads effectively hold my guitar...absolutely no slipping. I especially like the self-adjusting pad on the backrest...it pivots up and down to accommodate the angle at which the guitar rests, which ensures maximum contact. The forward stops are fixed...molded in, which is an additional good feature, and adds to the simplicity of this model. There are also non-slip silicone floor pads. The stand is made of aluminum and (quality) plastic parts; it feels very sturdy, but not overly heavy. It folds up small enough to carry in my rolling music case.Although very stable, this stand is not meant to be used in an active, chaotic, party, or classroom setting where there is the possibility of your instrument being bumped and thumped by people or animals, but it will do nicely under normal, calm circumstances. It would be fine for home, rehearsal, or performance. I use mine at at church, setting it up in the back of the choir area, away from foot traffic. For more active settings, you would want a different guitar stand that has additional security features. I use a different stand in my classroom, for example. But, for other venues, I'm glad I made the decision to buy this model.

Better than expected
I figured this stand would only be useful for keeping my guitars vertical during performances as long as I stood guard and there was no wind. Still, that was my requirement so I figured I'd give it a shot. This little guy is much more stable than I expected and it's been great to have one extra stand that can just live in the gig bag. The little rubber pads are much more effective than they look at holding your guitar in place with some cushioning. The instructions say not to use it in dirt but I had to take it to an outdoor performance, after which there was a gritty feel when sliding the legs in/out of position. Washing took care of most of it but I would recommend not getting sand in your stand if you're irritated by scratchy sounds.

I can say that I'm very happy with this one for two very important reasons
GuitarSense GS-ST1- Super Compact A-Frame Adjustable Folding Guitar Stand for Acoustic, Classical & Electric instruments (Black) I have owned several of these A-frame guitar stands over the years of various makes and models and price GuitarSense GS-ST1- Super Compact A-Frame Adjustable Folding Guitar Stand for Acoustic, Classical & Electric instruments (Black) points...I can say that I'm very happy with this one for two very important reasons, the stability of the design and the price. It kinda goes without saying that you're going to be placing something that's far more valuable in the metaphorical hands of a guitar stand and you want to be sure that it's going to hold it well. I feel comfortable with placing my guitars on this stand and that's really all I can ask for.

Really good product. Needs better user manual
This turned out to be a very good product and very versatile. You can adjust it to pretty much work with any guitar. it's well built and seems to be very durable. I love that fact that it's so small and light that it's easy to carry. Very low profile. The problem is that when you receive it, even while looking at the picture manual you are not clear what parts are adjustable and what parts are set permanently. I almost sent it back. Once I figured it out then I was happy with it.Play around with it until you get it adjusted for your guitar or to your liking. I think the manufacturer later sent a better manual on an email.

Works great, but comes with a little risk.
Was looking for a very portable guitar stand and this fits the bill. Lightweight too. It folds up nicely and has non-slip areas on the feet and body areas of a guitar. The only issue is that because the guitar neck is not held in place, a passerby may inadvertently knock the guitar off the stand. Just make sure you do not set this up in a trafficked area.

Great stand, small, light, and easy to use.
Good guitar stand, works with almost any guitar. The rubber pads appear to have no effect on the finish, and the spacing is adjustable for thinner acoustic bodies or electric guitars. The only drawback, to me, is that the adjustment for body depth has to be changed to allow the stand to fold to its smallest size, so you'll have to restore your positioning every time you fold the stand. Not a big deal, but worth knowing.

Sturdy, adjustable, compact, rock on!
Sturdy and adjustment fit my classical guitar beautifully. Chose this stand cause it looked compact, doesn't have that long bar that holds the neck of the guitar, which maybe is a nice feature but to me looks limiting for where I can set the guitar in a studio. Found a great spot for setup in the studio that would not be possible with the taller stands. This stand is as sturdy as other reviews are also telling. Love the ease of access I have with my guitar now and it's held up well. Also, great customer service and the stand arrived promptly as promised which was great for me cause my anticipation was up there!

Compact, Light-weight, yet Sturdy
Super light-weight, but totally sturdy enough for gigs. Very nice to be able to fit two of them in my rack case with my other stuff for shows. So much lighter and easy to stash than my former On-Stage stands (which are also great and I use at home). But for gigs, these rule.
