Sticky Fingers Bakery Apple Cinnamon Scone Mix

The baked scones were bitter. This means the flour, apples, or fat in the mix was rancid. I had planned to give the scones as a part of gift basket but I had to quickly scramble to do something different when the baked scones were not eatable.Horrible!

I'm writing specifically about the blueberry scone mix, and not the raspberry, but I second the concerns of the other reviewer. After one bite, I looked up this product for other reviews. Bitter! Awful. Something has gone very, very wrong with this scone mix. I agree with the other one-star review for this product.Full disclosure - the scone mix package had sat unopened for quite a while in my kitchen, and so it's possible that the mix went bad because I didn't use it immediately after purchase. Nevertheless, and for whatever reason, the scones are inedible.
