I don't write many reviews but owe it to this lure. Sunday night PB big largemouth crushes the whopper plopper and safely released. Monday night beat last night's PB. Can't wait for tomorrow! This lure really gets the big ones worked up.

This bait in bone color, and 90 size, is on one of my rods every early morning. I have caught plenty of bass on it, and bream hit it often too. I also use the 110 size on my heavier rod. Most bites come on a slow retrieve with a quick turn of the handle every 3-4 feet. I have had to replace a few rings that the treble hooks attach with, as they tend to stretch out. And finally, we call this bait Mr. Sticky, because I have embedded one or more of these very sharp hooks in my hand twice.

Got this Loon 90 and snuck out at lunch to give it a go in some unfamiliar waters. First cast - almost immediately got huge bite actually startled me, I took to long to set and retrieve, lost him. Second cast found plopper speed got half way in, paused then started really fast retrieve to recast. decent fish broke water just as i started screamin it in. 3rd cast to much adrenaline at this point cast across to other bank into fallen tree branches. Cut line snag. Today - ordered 2 more. Stand by for follow up.......

This was cheaper then buying it at Dicks or BassPro , love these whopper ploppers! This color in particular would hit harder than my others for some reason. Every water is different but this color is my goto!

A quality lure that has a succulent sound and action, but it does not get as many bites as I would figure it would. I think it is worth having one in your tackle, but for me, there are better similar top water lures to cast, e.g., Devil's Horse, Jitterbug, Gunfish.

Whopper Ploppers are the king of top water fishing. The movement, water displacement and vibrations are what make this lure on of the best top waters of all time. 1000% recommend this in anyone’s tackle gear.

I have never been into bass fishing. I have watched many YouTube videos the past 6 months about the Whopper Plopper. Every YouTuber raved over this lure. This summer, I decided to give it a try. I have had phenomenal results with this lure. There is just something with the action and the noise that it makes that drive the fish nuts!

Great topwater luer, the hooks are very sharp and fish love it! Drawbacks are you can’t fish them anywhere near weeds, you will snag them all. If you fish in a rocky area or cast it into something hard you can bend the wire the tail spins on and that effects the action dramatically. Mine ultimately exploded into 19 pieces when i made a hard cast that missed target and hit a rock. Great luer. Will buy again

I have bought several whopper popplers for bass fishing and I love them.Typically fish with the 90 and 130. I call this my bass magnet and great to see them take this top lure.My favorite thus far is the 90 Bluegill. Be careful with the hooks for they are extremely sharp.
