A MUST HAVE especially for beginning Bible Journalers!
I never thought I’d be interested in Bible journaling until just recently, having discovered a whole new world (to me) of inspiring ideas, that have fed a huge HUNGER for God’s Word. This book is totally inspiring my pursuit of creatively expressing all that I explore in His Holy Word. This is a beautiful, how-to handbook, in every sense of the word, in getting started with tools, ideas and inspiration for even those (like me) who may feel intimidated by exploring their artistic abilities, while expressing to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, all that His Word teaches us about who He is and who we are in Him! I could go on about how wonderful this resource is, but right now I can’t wait to get started on my journaling journey! Buy this book and you won’t be disappointed!

complete with beautiful illustrations and detailed explanations of how to use them
New to Bible journalling, I ordered this book but had no idea how complete it would be--well worth it at three times the price! It begins with how to choose a Bible for journalling and goes on to give information about what tools/materials can be used, complete with beautiful illustrations and detailed explanations of how to use them. The next section, entitled Artist Profiles, consists of several pages of different journalling artists--their photographs, insights into their spiritual journey through journalling, and samples of their work. Just reading this section is inspirational for any journalist's own work! In Outside the Bible, the authors give explanations of many different art forms that can be used in Bible journalling and on fabric, walls, cards and more. For more information and ideas, the authors included a pages of Resources. The book ends with a Bonus Section--many pages of designs on two types of paper, full-color stickers, and Bible tabs. Over the years, I have bought many books to help me with my interests, concerns, etc., but never have I had such a complete book on any subject! The book itself is as beautiful and inspiring as Bible journals themselves. THANK YOU, Joanne and Regina!

Everything You Need to Know to Get Started Bible Journaling - Love This!!
I have never done any Bible journaling, but I recently became interested in giving it a try - the problem was, I didn't know where to begin. I found this fabulous book on Amazon - "Complete Guide to Bible Journaling: Creative Techniques to Express Your Faith" by Joanne Fink & Regina Yoder. Truly, this is an amazing reference book - $13.38 and Prime Shipping and in 48 hours you are ready to begin. There are six sections: Getting Started (which tells you how to begin and helps you choose the kind of Bible to use); Tools and Techniques (12 different techniques, including page prep); Artist Profiles(a few pages telling the story and showing examples of the styles of each of the women, including the "founder" of this, Shanna Noel); a Gallery (shows examples out of the Bible, in the Bible and different styles); Resources and Index (gives artist websites, various social media groups, including Facebook and Instagram); and at the very end a Bonus section with tabs, stickers, traceable patterns and more. I have long admired Joanne Fink's lettering style; she is not only instructional but inspirational. This is the most complete book on the subject that I could imagine. For those who would ask "Why Bible Journal?" the best answer is found on Valerie Sjodin's profile pages "it's this experience of meetings, between God and self and between word and image, that makes Bible Journaling irresistible..." There are also constant reminders to find your own method of expression, your own personal style and the images in this book are very helpful in showing me what I like and what I don't like. Now it's time to pick a verse, spend some time with God through it and see where that journey takes me. To me, Bible Journaling is a way to spend more time with God and deepen my faith. I recommend trying this excellent book for yourself - something inside it will send you off on your own creative discovery; I promise.
