Turtle Doorstop

Doorstop looks great! The wedge is a teeny-tiny bit long but that's a hard thing to determine when making something like this. There is a rattly in it which I suspect is part of the mechanism holding the turtle on which may have come loose but no worries. The back can be taken off and the nut or whatever put back on...it's working juuuuust fine as is for no. It's just as cute as it can be!

I think this little turtle is adorable. However, it needs to be either heavier or a rubber bottom added to the wedge. It is too light and slides on vinyl tile. So, I will modify it by placing a piece of rubber on the bottom. The door I want to hold open is extremely light, but this turtle won't hold. Hopefully that will suffice.

Doesn't really hold the door very well. The wood is lightweight compared to the metal turtle. After the thing falling over enough times, I got tired of its quirks and just unscrewed the turtle from the wood. I use the turtle as a paperweight.

It is a very cute and functional doorstop. I can move it with my foot easily and it doesn't scratch the floors.

The turtle is a heavy metal, so it will hold heavy doors. The bottom has a non-skid matting on it. I use mine in my office at work. I have a concrete floor and a fire door, and my door doesn't budge.

I love the finish on the whimsical creatures on the three door stops I purchased (bunny, turtle and frog). However, I can only use one...on a door with a very low 'cut'. The other doors in my house have been trimmed in the past and the space between the floor and the door bottom is so high that it doesn't 'grab' it. We have hardwood floors, and I'm sure that is the issue. So, be careful and check your measurements before you order.

It looks exactly as pictured and does the job. I would love love to have for all of my doors!
