The gas lift shock works great! The most difficult part is removing the old one from your chair. With a little bit of penetrating oil and a rubber mallet it released. Lots of You Tube videos on how to remove the old one helped.

As a leggy 6'5" office drone, my recently purchased office chair simply wasn't tall enough. It had a typical 4-5" lift cylinder. At it's max height, my legs were just getting comfortable at a 90* angle.Swapping in this cylinder starts the range about halfway up through the old range, and maxes out beyond where I need it to. I get perfect leg extension right in the middle of the range. Couldn't be better.The all black construction looks great, installation was no issue. Very happy.

Mejor que el que tenia la silla original mas resistente grueso y alto.

Ho sostituito il pistone della sedia della scrivania perché non teneva più il carico, inoltre era leggermente basso....questo sembra solido ma sono appena 20 giorni che lo uso, per quello che costa direi ottimo, leggermente più alto del vecchio, c.ca +3 cm, il pistone ha un estensione esagerata, al suo max non si toccano i piedi per terra ( sono alto 1,78) Assicuratevi che i diametri di cilindro e stelo corrispondano al vostro ( questo è 50mm il diam. cilindro e 30mm il diam. stelo )La sostituzione è semplicissima, è montato a pressione nelle rispettive sedi ; con due colpi decisi di martello si libera dalla base con le ruote e con un buon pappagallo ed una certa forza, afferando lo stelo del pistone che alloggia sotto la seduta, si fa ruotare per sbloccarlo e poterlo così rimuovere, metti il nuovo e fatto! ; )

Way to big at full extension for me (34" inside leg) but it really allows me to sit comfortably at about 1/2 hight.
