Excellent tools
These strainers feel well made and are very easy to clean. My old metal strainer made me worried about rusting but these won't have that problem. The wider lip opposite the handle easily rests on a bowl so you can strain hands free.

excellent mesh size for milk kefir
this works really well for milk kefir it is just right to filter out the the grains without blocking the kefir from passing through before this strainer with was a lot of work to strain my kefir but this is simple and effective also the strainer comes shipped in a box that protects the shape so it is perfectly round like a ball the also makes it much easier to scoop out the grains with a silicon spatula some people say dont use stainless for kefir but it has worked out great for me and the contact time is very minimal and high quality food grade stainless is non reactive especially for short durations

Nice size variety. Feel fairly sturdy. Wish they nested when hung rather than take up extra space.

Heavy duty Strainers
I have used the standard ones with the wire handles and the spot welded construction. They are cheap to buy and work ok. But these are far above the old style. The handles are larger and comfortable. The front lip rests on edges when needed. The screen is strong and consistent. Clean up is easy. The frame doesn’t flex when shaking. Overall just a more modern, better built and stronger strainer. I like quality kitchen tools and these were worth every penny.

Strainers vs Colanders...I finally got it
I had been looking for something that would strain small items, and all I had was a colander. Then I remembered my mom had strainers. I found this set of 3 and have used 2 of them already. I have other OXO items and have always been happy with them. This makes another.

Much better than sieves with a metal frame that eventually rust and break. Would buy again but will probably never need to.
