I have the 3 gallon manual pump water heater which I love and the shower pole The sheet metal tab at the base if the heater which is supposed to hold the bottom of the pole in place was damaged in shipment. and I could not get the pole in it. After attempting to repair it, I gave up on it and cut it off of the heater because it is sharp, thin stainless steel. The pole setup is a lazy and bad design The tripod base is way too light and small to be effective and doesn't "nest" well with the base of the heater. The pole sections are difficult to assemble. I learned to simultaneously depress the ball detent while twisting the section in order to get the ball detent to slip into the next section. The thickness of the paint was making the pole assembly way too tight. Add a little dirt or sand from the camp site and it would be even harder. Disassembling the pole is more difficult than assembling it and required "three hands" and a tool. I had to hold the pole between my knees, depress the ball detent with a screwdriver and then pull the section apart. Putting all these things together, it is not a well thought out design. I will not use it at all. I am going to splice my shower hose to make it longer and hang it right in the center of the hut from the poles of the hut.Why didn't they make the shower pole assemble the same as the "bungee" fiberglass poles for the privacy hut that practically assemble themselves.

Adequate, eventually
This tripod is easy to setup for hands-free shower usage, but the nozzle hangs too low for stand-up showers. In part because I've hacked in a much better shower head for the Zodi hose that hangs even lower, I also had to hack an extension for the upright to get the entire rig to hang just above my head (I'm 5'10; thankfully my shower hut is 7' :). If you need to raise the curved piece, a piece of 3/4" white PVC tubing slides right over the tubes with enough support for the top piece and the shower head, without throwing off the tripod balance too badly. Also, on first assembly, we found how poorly the curved piece at the top was welded to the supporting upright; it came off in my hands with very little pressure applied (the other reason why the PVC sleeve became necessary; I have no welding facilities, and didn't think solder would be as strong as I needed.)It looks good in principle, but the low height and cheap manufacture work against it in my books.

Not great for anyone 6ft tall!
I mean, it works for what it's supposed to, it seems a little flimsy but I'm not dancing around with it while showering. If it holds the nozzle that's all I need it to do. My only (and major) gripe is that it's too short! I am 6' and this would work for anyone under around 5' 10". I have to squat down to actually fit under the hose.. If Zodi sent me another pole or 2 it would be absolutely perfect...UPDATE: I decided to up it another star, since they quickly sent me out a couple extensions so I would fit under it. Sadly they don't quite fit together but with a mallet I hammed the rods together and now it's a good fit. Still a little wobbly but I don't intend to move the nozzle around while showering.

Not the best engineering
Had to elevate stand to get it about my 5'2" head. Mostly stable as long as you don't bump it. Goes together and comes apart with difficulty.....little tiny pins that hold poles together are difficult to push in even with a knife blade. But it works.

Piece of junk
Piece of junk. You would do better finding a couple of sicks and rubber bands to hold the water line. The bottom piece that holds the legs together basically fell apart as I was assembling it. I looked at the other legs and decided it wasn't a one off problem...the thing is just a complete piece of junk and worthless for it's intended application.

It is great if you're under 5ft 6in
It is great if you're under 5ft 6in, but I'm 6ft tall. The holder, holds the shower head at about my brest level. However, you can contact the company, and purchase extra extension poles to raise the shower head up to a more comfortable height. Remember though, as you increase the height of the shower stand, you change the stability of the unit!!!
