This is a well made shank arbor with a beautiful black oxide finish
Concentricity of the Tapmatic 1/2" shank arbor was perfect for my Albrecht 6.0 mm, keyless drill chuck. I appreciate the relatively short shank which facilitates easier insertion of the drill chuck into the collet on my vertical mill, without lowering the bed for clearance.I believe the Tapmatic arbor is made in the USA. It cost twice as much as a Chinese made shank arbor I ordered from Amazon, but worth every penny. The Chinese arbor was a fail, twice. After the second try, I didn't even waste time trying a third and ordered the Tapmatic arbor. Lesson learned.
