8 Channel 720p HD Network Video Recorder

Great little unit. I have 4 funlux outdoor wifi "cloud" cameras and wanted archive video capabilities without paying monthly service fees. This unit instantly detected the cameras and began archiving 24/7 video from each with mobile app playback capability. Has basic options such as smart recording vs 24/7 (basically captures still frames until motion detected then captures full frames vs always full frames for longer storage retention.) Has scheduling options, set motion detect area, quality playback for local and remote, hdmi out for tv hookup, etc. Comes with a mouse.1/29/19 - update - added zmodo 1080p cameras and doorbell and this unit picked them up and recording without issue.10/3/2019 - update - note this dvr does not capture audio from devices that support it like the doorbell units. Their cloud offering does however.

This has product arrived to my house with no screws to put it together and no mouse for controls.I contacted the reseller about it and they sent me a bag of screws after waiting for the longest time even after I told them that it looks like the product was opened and packaged into a different box.Finally I was able to to boot the system and guess what it only support one type of IP Camera Protocol and the camera I have are not compatible.It looks like this unit only supports cameras from this manufacturer.It does not support Onfiv Protocol. I am very annoyed because I had to wait so long for these missing screws to arrive that now it is too late to return.Bottom line this does not work and I do CCTV for a living and deal all types of DVRs and NVRs.

Added a 1tb hard drive to it right out of the box, hooked up an old computer monitor I had laying around and a wireless usb mouse. Everything worked like a charm, it found 3 of my 4 cameras (Zmodo wireless) so I plugged in the 4th camera and as soon as it hit the WiFi it showed up. I have 4 Zmodo wireless cameras that I’ve been using the app with for over a year. For the price of the cameras and adding this nvr to it makes it completely worth it to me. For the price you can’t beat it. It is a basic 8 channel nvr system nothing extra fancy, but I don’t need all of that. I have been continuously recording to a hard drive since this afternoon and can search and look back at any of the cameras or even all at the same time. Can even take a snapshot of something on any of the cameras.

So this is the second attempt at this product. I bought one that lasted about 3 months and then it quit producing video on my tv screen. No matter which cord I used, it wouldn’t produce any video. Too bad, worked flawlessly. Of course customer service is a joke outside of Prime window. So, I thought it was a fluke. I bought another one in May. Wouldn’t you believe it, it worked great for a few months, and poof, no video again. I can see the cameras from the app but there’s no way to see what’s logged on the HD. DO NOT BUY THIS... once you get outside of Amazon support, you will not be able to reach the seller.

Lasted about 40 days b4 channel 1 live feed stopped working. Due to hospital stays and amputation couldnt get out to return it. Now sept 2018 n channel 4 followin in channel 1's footsteps. All 4 zmodo mini wifi cams quit displaying date and time stamp bout 1 month ago. Outdoor bullet cams still working fine though

A great product that performs as advertised...

It would be nice if a PRINTED manual came with the device. I managed to find it online at FUNLUX.COM. it should be noted that a VGA monitor is REQUIRED to setup the device and formate the non-includex hard drive. But after the little technical snags, the thing found all my wireless cameras. I was concerned that since it was intended for wired cameras that I would have difficulty getting the wireless cameras online but since they were already registered and operating, the NVR just picked them right up.
