A little rough at first, but smooths out
It was difficult to open the first time, but after a few opens/closes it smoothed out.Has a nice rubber O-ring that fits very tight (will wear in nicely). It has a disc-like thingy that is blocked/unblocked which acts as a lock/unlock.Pretty standard looking 7 pin tubular lock. Should also be fun for locksport (tubular lock pick). This thing is heavy and attracts attention. It looks like a pipe with a weird cap on the end. If you take this through an airport you WILL be stopped and asked to open (or they might just freak out). Probably leave this at home. Same with any type of security checkpoint: this is so cool/weird looking that EVERYONE will want to see what is inside of it (police/security/TSA/bomb squad/other people in line panicking).Basically it looks like a pipe bomb. It's good for locking up pills to keep away from bad grandchildren. Travelling with it, or even having it in your car WILL cause you issues. It has a very open keyway track that the pins are in. Fun to pick.Very good quality. Very tight fit on the lid.The actually tubular lock is loose in the lid, but that doesn't affect function. No, this is NOT waterproof (water would go in through/around the tubular lock) but it does have an o-ring that makes the cap fit tightly.Again, do NOT try to bring this on a plane. You will make the newspapers: "Crazy guy tries to hide drugs in a fake pipe bomb and sneak it on a plane. He was later released after missing his flight."

Works great
As advertised. It is very well made, feels solid in the hands. I ordered the largest one and it's great.

It works as it should
First off, I believe it's sad that anyone would need this, but the sturdiness and ease of use is what drew me to purchase one. A great value for a little peace of mind. I will come back after I have had this longer with an update (only using this for 4 days...)Update: after using this for roughly 6+ weeks this bottle has deterred others than to who the medication was prescribed for from getting into it ๐คจ I haven't had any problems using this locked steel container, it's sturdy and a great piece of mind at a decent price. I can see someone with hand tremors having difficulty using this, but the concept is to make it a deterrent for an attempt to easily grab a few pills that one shouldn't be using for illicit purposes. I have found other locked pill bottles (especially the plastic ones with a combination) can and have shown to be easily accessible, IMHO this locked steel container probably isn't a fool proof secured vessel but it's the next best thing to an all out safe or vault bolted in place. For now, this is serving a purpose with the key always on my person.

very very very big
It's just as described. However, it is huge. Like the size of a large pill bottle and because of the material, it's very heavy. The weight is even noticeable in my bag.

Cheap, broke in just over a month
First of all the top kept coming loose because its held on with a locking nut on the inside of the cap, I got tired of constantly having to re tighten it so I put super glue under the locking ring and then tightened it really tight which worked. Until I went to unlock it and the locking mechanism just broke and all the pins came out, I didn't have the time or patience to try to put it back together after the other problems. Its a cheap piece of crap, avoid if you can. Too bad, it worked great for the first little bit and was handy to not have to worry about my medicine being taken but when the lock itself literally falls apart in 20 pieces its just not worth it hassle. I'm not the only one who had this problem of the lock failing, check some of the other reviews out too. I'm gonna try the nylon version and see if it holds up any better cause the alternatives Ive seen they want like 80 dollars.
