Hollywood Then and Now®

Book is everything I hoped it would be. Pictures are great. Not lengthy on the history, but definitely sufficient. If you love Old Hollywood, The Golden Age, you will enjoy this book. There are some pictures of places that are no more, which I found sad. But alas, I suppose that is what is called 'progress'.

As my title said, (in 50 words or less) this book is a "photographic display of HOLLYWOOD, -- then and in the early 2000's".I found the book highly informative and enjoyable. Yes, the photos are in black and white, however, I believe the author did this to show continuum.The book is filled with (mostly) large photos of Hollywood, before and after time had changed the topography and architectural styles of the area.

My parents were born in Hollywood and grew up in the 1930's in that small town. Many of the places described in this lovely book have been part of family conversations for years and many fond memories. This is not only an excellent book for anyone who is interested in what a great place Hollywood was to live in but a window into a gentler time.

Bought as a gift so I won’t be opening it but what I notice at first glance is the cover is different...

I grew up in Hollywood and graduated from Hollywood High and now live in MO. This brought back some great memories and is very well done.

If you love LA, you’ll love this book.

This book was everything it promised to be. I got lost in it the first time I picked it up, and I continue to get lost in it. The photos are amazing!

I had read an edition that was sold at an event where Marjorie Lord spoke, August 2023. This was not that edition and was disappointing.

Great product and nice addition, as I building my little US/International corner. It was a great accent to the theme. Being from California originally, it was a great read!

This is a must have book with so many interesting pictures and descriptions, a must have for any serious collector.
