Good snacken
Quite tasty. I do rinse the juice out and fill with water since they are a little more salty than I like. But they sure are good.

Olive Lovers Only
I've used Roland products for many years and know the brand. Got tired of paying for too much retail for a 6oz. of mixed olives. Can't believe some of the whiny reviews; salty, varied textures, pits! Mixed olives! Go back to your canned black olives for uniform blandness. Only buy these if you want a variety and can deal with pits. How do you eat cherries with pits? Textural differences are inherent in a mix. Enjoy diversity! If you find the olives too salty, drain off a cup of brine(a salt solution) and replace with water. Wait a few days and repeat as needed. It works. This is a nice, tasty assortment of olives at a reasonable price for those who really like olives. Thanks.

Bitter Bitter Bitter
These are absolutely the worst olives I've ever put in my mouth. I love olives and these olives are so bitter. I just don't know what to do with them. I'm going to try to add some salt to the brine which is really more like water than brine and see if that helps, but I would absolutely not waste my money on these ever again. Terrible.

Well worth it
Why did you pick this product vs others?: We absolutely love these kind of olives. Over all we will keep buying as the price is great for as much as we use them. They do at times come in very salty. Itโs ok, I just rinse under water for a little and then they are fine. Sometimes they come a little mushy but those we just use when cooking or cutting up.

Good texture, extremely salty and acidic.
Olives are firm and have good texture. Better than many other options on Amazon. Unbearably salty and acidic. Come with a ton of red pepper strips and garlic. I dump out 80% of the brine and fill it with filtered water. In two weeks they are properly brined. I grew up with olive trees and my family brining our own olives. Olives are naturally bitter and acidic. The brining with water only is meant to remove that acidity. Herbs like bay leaf and oregano are great, but I have never seen anyone add citric acid or this level of salt to olives. Still, one of the better options if you are willing to do a little work.

VERY TASTY!
The packaging is interesting.. a neat barrel shape and the lid has a handle, which seals similar to a canning jar (2 pieces). As you can see in the third photo, you lift the black insert out of the container and it has a white rubber ring in between to offer a tight seal. I SLOWLY and CAREFULLY removed the lid but when the seal finally "broke", the oil went everywhere (mostly all down the front of me). I'm not docking the review for that super annoying mishap because accidents happen, but just be warned because it might also happen to you! Inside the container is a white mesh basket which I think is for draining the liquid. The olives are NOT pitted, so heed that warning for your first bite. I am so used to pitted olives that I didn't even realize I purchased non-pitted until I stuck my fork in one. That is fine by me, as they are usually cheaper that way anyhow. The taste is GREAT! Less salty than when purchased at the olive bar area of my local grocer--so you can actually taste the flavor of the olives and the brine, without being overburdened by salt. I will definitely purchase these again!

Like cracking open an Olive Vessel in Ancient Greece Herself.
Beautifully Done. Masterfully Crafted. The Gentleman these were donated to super Happy all around. For those wondering about the Saltiness thatโs about as close to Santorini long store olives without being in Santorini. Shelf Life impeccable.

Good value
So far I've bought the Roland kalamata, pitted greek olives, and these non-pitted greek country olives mixes, all in the same size container. This is a much better deal than the mixed olives I usually buy at the grocery store, and I eat way too many olives so I was looking for larger containers. I haven't had problems with anything being spoiled or overly mushy, though some of the different olives have different textures and some varieties are softer than others. The bigger ones tend to be softer than the small firm ones. As for saltiness, they're olives in brine, so it's expected and I like salty things. Also haven't had problems with leaving them out in the kitchen, and I think the label says they don't need refrigeration and are best enjoyed at room temp. I do prefer pitted but I accidentally bought the nonpitted this time. No big deal, just remember that when you take your first bite so you don't chomp down on a pit unexpectedly. Also, nonpitted is cheaper. It was also a better deal than the Trader Joes nonpitted mixed ones I got, but those were lemon and oregano I think. These are more bay leaves, rosemary, some strips of red pepper, and cloves of garlic also floating in there. Good mix of spices, would buy again.
