The container remains in great shape, but I now know to keep the ...
Works OK with the waterbrick, but I learned the hard way the spigot is not as durable under lengthy exposure to the elements as the containers themselves.I'm not sure if the valve got jammed up with dust or if the parts weakened due to UV exposure (or a bit of both), but the root near where the spigot connects to the collar broke when attempting to check the open/close operation of one that had been left outside for several months. The container remains in great shape, but I now know to keep the plain caps on them unless I'm looking to use the spigot in the near term (and keep the spigots a bit more protected when not in use).

makes water bricks easier to work with
makes water bricks easier to work with since the brick be heavy to pick up and pour while this allows to just access from the spout

There are better taps for the brick
It is low tech, only empties the brick half way (then you have to tip it, and then empty the last of the water by taking it off), sometimes it leaks. My next try was a manual vertical pump, like for an oil drum, but it was so hard to pull up the plunger that a partly full brick got lifted off the ground. Then I rigged up anRV sink faucet with an integrated switch, a small 12v submersible pump, and a 12v 5Ah battery like from a house alarm system. Very slick, high spout, variable flow rates, and really quiet, but pricy and bulky to store between camping trips. Then I happened onto the Auto Bottled Water Pump with Volume Control Wireless Water Dispenser Rechargeable Gallon Water Bottle Jug Dispenser Pump, from ExcMark. Only $12 after tax, a bit noisy, but so simple. With the water level lower than the top ‘crossbar’ in the brick, you can set the pump boy down the opening and rest the bottom of it on the crosspiece. Maybe add some foil to keep dust and tree droppings out... packs up tiny in its original box, recharges via a mini-usb cord (cord included, but not power plug). You can find a YouTube video where a guy runs the pump tube through a hole in one of the blue lids and mounts the pump beside his camper-van’s sink after much tinkering with the base of the pump to make it sit flat on a magnet base. But I car-camp, no camper-kitchen in my van for me.

these are holding up great without any leaking or noticeable wear
I got this spigot along with the waterbrick a couple months ago and wanted to try it out a bit before posting a review. So far, these are holding up great without any leaking or noticeable wear. They are very easy to put on (twist on/off in place of the water brick's securing lid) and easy to dispense. As is the nature with the water bricks I bought, they require tipping to fully empty but this is no fault of this spigot, which has great flows. When I take the spigot off, I dry it then store it in a ziplock bag in a position where it won't be squished or crushed. I would definitely recommend these for anyone getting the water bricks for water storage.

not what I expected
This spigot isn't what I expected and it really misses the mark as far as functionality when coupled with the water bricks. I'd spend a little more for a better functioning spigot or even a pump.

Perfect fit for our water cubes
We bought a set of water cubes and filled one up and brought it camping this weekend. Very basic, but did the job. Might have to get one more as we got quite a few cubes and may need more than one going at a time if the "apocalypse" happens

Makes life easy
Sure will make life easy not having to pick up a water brick. So glad to have found these!!!

Essential, but lousy
This is essential for use of water bricks... unfortunately it leaks and falls apart with minimal force. The brick needs to be stored upright to avoid leaks, but the handle interferes with the spigot and dislodges the nut that holds it together.
