Not what I expected
I was very excited to read this book but found it lacking. Felt very pretentious and frustrating. Pointless with no clarity or closure, probably the point of the book as it's about being in hell.

A must-read even for the anti-bookworm
I've never been a huge reader but besides being an amazing book, it sparked the desire in me to read more, and I've already read three more books this week! It was a fantastic book and I'm still thinking about it, although reluctant to read again because it's a bit of a mind f 🫨 I've recommended it to everyone.

A short and dreadful read
This book is truly short and sweet - if the sweet you are looking for is exhistential dread and a thought provoking read. It really lingers with you even after it’s finished, I truly recommend this - all of us have wondered at some point what happens in the afterlife, so being touched by this story is inevitable.

I think every single day about this book
Absolut krasses Buch! Seit ich es gelesen habe, ist kein Tag vergangen, an dem ich nicht an dieses Buch gedacht habe. Manchmal ertappe ich mich noch immer dabei, wie einfach nur da sitze und gedankenverloren versuche die Handlung komplett zu begreifen und die schieren zeitlichen Horizonte zu verstehen. Absolut eines der besten Bücher, dass ich je gelesen habe. 100/10

I read this in one sitting and it really is an interesting read that is a perfect blend of sci-fi, theology, existentialism and a dash of cosmic horror. There is a large sense of apeirophobia I contracted from reading this short story. Infinity is unfathomable and thinking about the task ahead our main character does cause some existential dread. A Hell comprised of all books that have been or could be written seems comforting at first, until you realize that this Hell is modeled after the library of Babel. Hundreds of thousands of miles of books that are essentially gibberish fill your first hundred (thousand?) years. You’re not just reading fictional novels or biographies. You are, in fact, trying to even locate where those would be. This was a fun take on the afterlife and gives you something to think about long thereafter. I’d recommend reading this to anyone interested in exploring a story that will leave you thinking.
