Beautiful

Last week, I decided to check to see if Vivian Green has released any new material. To my luck, she has; so I ordered the album in haste. Unlike other people around the world, I don't listen to albums in hope that an artist improved or bringing in the latest of music. Not my style; I'm into Vivian Green cause her vocals are igloo like. First album, five stars + 127 stars... Second album, five stars + 153 stars... Third album, five stars + about 159 stars...the List:Music = 09Amount of Music = 09Vocals = 10Vocal Production = 10Sing Along Ability = 10Grooviness = 10Replay Value = 10As in improvement, she comes through. As in consistency, she blows through. As in vocal production, she tears it up. As in melody control, she queened it! Money well spent; if you're into the sultry controlled vocals of a goddess on the mic, you won't have a problem with any of the album. If you're a black woman; you need this album! Enjoy the music...

I'm just glad she's back. I hardly ever buy music, and there are very few artists that I like (most are out of the mainstream). I was very excited to see a new album. I had just graduated college when her 2nd album came out, so it's been at least five years since she's done any studio work. The reviews almost scared me away, but Viv is an artist that makes good music, with good writing, and it's better than the garbage on radio these days.That said, 'Beautiful' is not to the standards of Love Story OR Vivian. Those albums hooked me instantly. This one has two or 3 songs that sound like classic Vivian, but most are forgettable. Again, not terrible, but they don't stand out. Like I said, I support very few artists, so I was OK paying the 6.99 for this. But I hope she comes stronger next time.Oh, and I HATE the video for Beautiful. They changed the beat of the song to a more R&Bish sound. I hope she's not taking that route.

4 stars because I'm in a good mood. "Save Me" is an amazing song and slightly adds to my disappointment with this album as it shows just how amazing this album could have been. The rest of the album isn't bad, matter of fact it's rather good, but "Save Me" showed me she really has the ability to take her music to a completely different level (think tip of the iceberg). She never drops the ball vocally or lyrically and her production is strong. It's just not spectacular, and knowing what it could have been (she clearly has the ability) makes me a little nit-picky when listening to this album. Over all however, I have to recommend it. It's a good album and her talent is palpable.

I'm overseas and we need some good music over here. One of the guys kept talking about Vivian Green. I have never heard of her. He was blasting this cd and I had to order it for myself. Maybe I love it because I don't have her first cd to compare it to but the lady is bad and I have already ordered her other cds. I think you can only really appreciate Vivian's music if she's telling your story and on this cd she is definitely telling mine. I was drawn in by Beautiful but my other favorites are Too intense, Caught up, Jordan's song, and One of None. I hope to hear much more from Vivian. She has been slighted on the promotion scene. It's a shame because she has awesome talent!!!

Vivian is back and at her best again. I really dig the vibe on these songs and it seems that she was having fun making them as you can hear it in her voice.

not as good as her first cd, and way better than her second. vivian green really gets back to who she was on this this cd. if you loved her emotional rollercoaster, you'll love this too!

I am loving Vivi's new cd. I can listen to the whole CD from the beginning to the end without skipping any songs. GREAT JOB!

This is a beautiful CD and a wonderful price that I got it for. Will order in the future for sure!
