The Braided Designer Dock Line from POWERLINE USA features a 12-Inch eye splice on one end and is ready-to-use to secure your boat to the dock or another vessel. POWERLINE USA dock lines are available in various sizes, lengths and colors. Made of high strength polyester, POWERLINE USA Braided Designed Dock Lines offer greater durability compared to nylon dock lines since Polyester doesn't lose strength when wet, stretches less than nylon and much more sunlight-resistant than nylon. Overall, Polyester dock line simply offers better weathering characteristics than nylon dock line. In addition, Polyester lines offer less stretch than nylon; so mooring in an absolute stationary position is a great use for POWERLINE USA Braided Designed Dock Lines. POWERLINE USA also utilizes a braided design instead of multi-strand twisted design, which is less brutal on the hands. Size guide: boats up to 22 feet should use a 3/8-Inch line diameter. Boats 21 to 35 feet should use a 1/2-Inch line diameter. Length guide: bow and stern lines should be 1.5 to 2.5 times beam forward and aft spring lines should be 1 to 20 times in length. Made in the USA.

Loops will not hold!
I bought 4 of these dock lines as they match my boat colors and look great. I've had them for about one full season. Buyer beware. Do not depend on these to secure your boat anywhere without your attention. The looped ends of two of the four lines I bought simply came apart. Luckily I was present both times and was able to grab another rope to secure my boat. The ropes are still usable .... But I would definitely not buy them again. Sadly unreliable. Hate to think what would happen if someone used these to tie off their boat someplace where a current could take it away.

The seller should be ashamed to risk boats with this garbage
This is not a game, not only risking boats worth hundreds of thousands but can risk life. Can't understand how the seller can survive in the market and Amazon with such experience. No need to test this “docking” line in reality, just read the other 1-2 star reviews following an actual experience of sailors.

Not High Quality
When I first received this dark line and started to use it I thought it was a good product. But within three weeks of use the split Loop came apart I bought three of these and two out of the three came apart I could have lost my boat.

Eye splice failure x 2
Worked great for one season, but the eye splice failed on both lines I purchased at the start of the second season. I was fortunate to notice the failure before I walked away from my boat.

Don't trust your boat to these dock lines
If you're looking for a dock line you can have faith in, these are not for you! I used them for about a week, and then last night when I went to get on the boat I gave the bow line a little tug to pull the boat closer and they eye splice came completely undone! I immediately took the rest of them off and put my old ones back on because I have zero faith in these now.

Defect with eye splice
The eye splice fell apart within two weeks of purchasing it. I gave it the slightest tug and the thing came off in my hands, scary! It was perfect timing because a storm came through the next day and if this line would have still been tied to my boat, it would have smashed into the rocks. This line is not good quality, it looks cheap, it is cheap, don't risk your boat with it.

Dont buy these cheap ropes
These are terrible, just save your money and put it towards some good dock lines. The weave of the rope is way too loose and thick and about half a dozen uses into them the eyelets pulled loose and almost floated my boat out into the lake.

Loop will let go!
Orig said this several years ago: "Best rope I ever had on my boat. Sold my boat and made sure to keep this rope."Rebought 3 more & had the loop of one of the new ropes holding the my new boat's cleat... look back & saw the loop slip out and my boat was drifting out from the back. All they do is tuck one end into the middle of the rope. It's not braided into itself & just slips out. Was really confused a week earlier when putting ropes away & one had no loop until I saw another slip out.
