Perfect item ruined by terribly poor packaging.
I needed this item to put on the door frame of a patio door to keep my cat from climbing it so I ordered two figuring I'd cut one if I wanted it to go further down the door. Now mind you, I was searching high and low for something to put over this screen door because the cat was able to climb to the top of the door and break out through the corner onto our balcony. It was scary but the higher the little darling can climb, the happier she is.I finally gave up and bought a heavy duty, clear shower curtain, cut that and put that on the door but it was just not working out. It was vinyl and not crystal clear and I wasn't able to stretch it to kind of resemble glass. Then I found this item and despite the poor reviews, it seemed perfect. It's not flexible like a shower curtain; it's a heavier plastic sheet. I ordered and waited, hoping that the bad reviews before mine were just unlucky and maybe they had exchanged them and were fine. They arrived today. In a tall, very thin square box and each one was rolled up like a poster. I took the first one out of the box and whoever "rolled" it up to stuff it in the box obviously did not care if they damaged it. It was creased horribly at every turn and is completely useless. The second piece has no creases and was fine.I cannot keep one piece and return one; I either have to keep both or return both and I'm afraid that if I return them, I'll get two creased one as replacements. This really ridiculous. I am ordering an additional one today and if that arrives with no creases, I will return the badly creased one for a refund. If this next one arrives creased, I'm sending them all back for a refund and looking elsewhere for this product. Such a shame.Updated: Jan 22So I received the single piece that I ordered and it too was destroyed in the packaging process by a careless person. I set up a replacement with Amazon for 2 pieces and returned the two destroyed ones. I checked off the "Box and packaging were fine but the item was damaged" box. The following day I received the two replacement pieces that were carefully wrapped in brown paper before being rolled up. They both arrived in pristine condition.Of course, that is not the end of my saga. When I unrolled the plastic to use it on my screen door this weekend, one of the two brown paper-wrapped pieces was cut the correct 35 x 33 and the other one was 33 x 33 and too short to reach the frame of my door. You can't make this stuff up.

It Works!
I bought 2 rolls at $17.98 each last month. I used it to cover my wooden door frames around our bedrooms doors that my cats were clawing. The rolls are tightly wound so what I did was rolled them in the opposite direction and let them sit for 2 days. When I opened up the rolls they were almost flat and easy to work with. I installed them by cutting them (with regular scissors) into the sizes I needed and screwed (pre-drilled holes) them directly into the door frames using wood screws that I already had. They're clear so you cannot see them unless you look closely. The cats don't like the sound it makes when they touch it so no more clawing!I want to buy more, but the price has been jacked up to $32 each! Now it's not worth buying.

Like other reviewers - mine came with a crease in it that mars the look, and the material is not strong enough to span the gaps in a craftsman panel door. I returned it and I'll buy a good grade of plexiglass instead.

Installation Woes
If you don't want to put screw holes in your door maybe don't buy this. At least not in seattle, the combination between the rain and a pesky golden retriever meant this bad boy didn't stay put for more than a day with the tape.

While this product ended up working as expected, I had to go through 4 install methods to actually make it stay flat on patio door window due to the roll packaging.

We installed a new back door and the old one was so scratched up from the dogs. When you put this on...which I did with Command strips use the whole strip not cut up pieces not enough strength. They have screws to hold it in place with the order but I'm not drilling holes in my new door. It's nice heavy clear plastic and I think the dogs are afraid of it because not one of them have touched it. If they did I am confident the plastic would hold up real well.

Works like advertised
A little difficult to cut and install but do a good job protecting from dogs!

It is very sturdy and has lasted a couple of years
This product saved my French doors from a tiny dog who scratches when she wants to come inside. It is very sturdy and has lasted a couple of years. I taped it on to cover the area that the dog paws. I remove it, wash it as I would a window, and re-tape when I wash windows.

Do not waste your money
Do not buy this product. We were desperate to find some plastic suitable to cover our door and protect it from dog scratches and on every online search we did, this product came up timeand again and looked ok if pricey. What arrived was a sheet of plastic so badly squashed, creased and damaged as to be completely unusable. A complete and utter waste of the £40 for the product and postage.
