Strong enough to control odor and also doesn’t break me out. I LOVE unscented items like this one: literally doesn’t smell like anything!My other deodorants would other not work well to control odor (natural deodorants), or the harsh ingredients would piss my skin off. This is the best of both worlds!!

All of a sudden about two years ago I started turning up allergic to every anti-perspirant I tried, starting with the one I'd used for years without issue. I finally landed on Lume' for the deodorant and that actually worked best for me, but could not use their anti-perspirant products, just their deodorant, and constantly had wet pits that would still start smelling towards the end of the day. After speaking to a dermatologist, she recommended this Vanicream Anti-Perspirant Deodorant for Sensitive Skin. I checked several stores before finding it on Amazon. The first time I used it, it did burn a little and cause a small rash. I think my skin was still agitated from the last shave. It was a little dry/rough going on the first time, but now that first layer is off the product, it does go on smoothly without pulling at the skin. It's been almost a week, and I've had dry underarms no matter what I'm wearing since after the first application (which was in the morning). Use it at night after washing, and it works perfect! I did also change my shave cream to something more high quality, started moisturizing the skin there, and changed my razor to a brand new one geared toward sensitive skin and all that together seems to have solved my two year problem. No breakthrough sweat, no breakthrough smell. I feel like a normal person again and can stop avoiding other people for fear my deodorant has stopped working. So far, no rash, no burning, no itching either. I think... hopefully... this is finally the product that's going to work long term for me. I'm so glad the dermatologist recommended it!

I picked up the Vanicream Anti-Perspirant Deodorant for Sensitive Skin because I’m pretty picky about what I put on my skin, especially around my underarms. This one has been a great find.The first thing I noticed is how gentle it feels. It doesn’t burn or irritate, even after shaving, which is something a lot of other deodorants fail at. If you have sensitive skin, this is a huge win. It doesn’t leave a heavy or sticky residue, and it goes on smooth without leaving white marks — which always matters when I’m throwing on a shirt in the morning.In terms of performance, it really does keep me fresh throughout the day. I’ve worn it on warmer days and through workouts, and it holds up well without needing halfway touch-ups. It’s not super overpowering scent-wise — more subtle and clean than loud — which I like. It’s exactly what I’m looking for in an everyday deodorant.If I were to note one small thing, it’s that the scent is very mild. But that’s honestly a plus for me because I don’t like overwhelming fragrances.Overall, this has become my go-to sensitive skin deodorant. It’s effective, gentle, and comfortable to wear all day. I have been on the hunt for a quality hypoallergenic antiperspirant/deodorant for several years now since developing allergic contact dermatitis to many common ingredients. What I have learned is that there is no product that checks all the boxes: allergen-free, sweat reducing, odor blocking, non-marking/non-messy, affordable.With that said, the Vanicream stick checks 3 of the 5 boxes, which is the most out of any I’ve tried thus far. It’s hypoallergenic and is the best at sweat AND odor blocking out of all the “safe for me” deodorants I have tried. Most other products are only good at sweat OR odor control, and I live in the desert where both are definitely necessary. On the flip side, the product does pill up quite a bit after minor sweating to the point where I would feel self conscious about it if going out in a tank top. Also, at $10 a stick, while cheaper than some of the others, it’s still not a great price point. I will continue to try new products, but this will probably be my new main at least until the temps fall below 100 and I can get away with using something less effective but cleaner.For anyone else out there struggling to find a good product, here are mini-reviews of the other products I have tried:-Native Lavender & Rose Paraben-Free Aluminum-Free Deodorant (2/5 stars): Cons: I didn't smell like BO but I didn't smell like lavender and roses either. Aluminum-free so there was no sweat control. Expensive. Pros: didn't make a mess, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok)-Dry Idea AdvancedDry Unscented Antiperspirant & Deodorant Clear Gel (0/5 stars) : Cons: I still got pretty sweaty with this one, not a big fan of the gel. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor-blocking. 0 out of 5 stars because they abruptly changed the formula to include fragrance yet still mark it as "hypoallergenic/unscented," which is shady AF. Always check the label every time you buy, even if it's a product you've used before!-Acure Lavender & Coconut Deodorant (3/5 stars): Cons: basically the same as Native - no sweat control, slightly better odor control, but a little messier. Pros: cheaper than Native, allergen-free (for me, lavender is ok)-Each & Every Natural Aluminum-Free Deodorant, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: No sweat control, expensive. Pros: Actually has pretty decent odor control without added scents, goes on clean, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter.-Speed Stick Antiperspirant & Deodorant Solid, Unscented (3/5 stars): Cons: I was surprised at how sweaty I got with this antiperspirant. Have to reapply at least once during the day. Pros: Cheap, goes on clean, ok odor control, allergen-free. This could be a main for me in the winter.-Almay Sensitive Skin Clear Gel Antiperspirant & Deodorant, Fragrance-Free (0/5 stars): This product made such a sticky mess of my underarms that I couldn't leave it on long enough to evaluate its effectiveness.

This product has been life changing for me. I’ve been struggling with having severe reactions to deodorants/antiperspirants for around 15 years. The last five years or so I had found a couple of deodorants I could use, but never an antiperspirant. I went out on a limb and tried this one and it WORKS! Just as well as any other antiperspirant! But I don’t have any reaction to it at all! I’ve been using it for almost a month now and NO inkling of a reaction coming on at all! I don’t have to deal with soaking wet pits and clothes that eventually start to smell, and I can finally comfortably wear light colored shirts again. I cannot recommend this enough if you’re like me and can’t use anything else. I would buy this even if it cost $50. Probably even if it cost $100. I cannot rate this highly enough.

Honestly not sure what the hell is going on but I’ve been getting itchy under my pits no matter what deodorant I use. Most of these aluminum-free claims are bogus. “Old Spice” for men has been irritating and so has “Dove” for both men and women recently. Fortunately after tons of research and testing, I have finally found this GREAT deodorant. It’s so simple and plain. It’s a white solid stick, not clear and not oily. Residue won’t really show if you’re hairless, but if you have hair, it will drag along some showing on your hair, but I usually wear tshirts or long sleeves so it doesn’t bother me, but if you wear tank tops, you may need to smear the visible white stuff. To prevent even more itching, don’t EVER apply any deodorant under unwashed armpits. SCRUB your pits really good first before applying on any deodorant….drench your sponge with water and lots of body wash to scrub the areas around the pits such as the underarms, sideline stomach/ribs, your back by your pits, and all angles of your biceps arms, with this will help remove extra unwashed sweat dirt off your skin that’s causing more itch from not previously washing well. Pat dry gently after your shower, let the air breeze and dry out any water or moisture for a few minutes, then massage the deodorant around your pits. I just tried this brand specifically and I have no itch at all so far and it last me all day once I massaged it around my pits area. I also wanted a “clear spray” formula deodorant so I found and tried “Nivea Pearl and Beauty” deodorant-spray for the first time too and no itch at all either! Therefore, these are my top 2 deodorants brands so far. I totally approve and I highly recommend this deodorant stick product by “Clincal Strength Vanicream” for sensitive skin. I would like to thank the company so much for making this and helping heal others! True blessing! (PS: if you have other intense itches, burns, cuts or scrapes in other areas of your body and private areas, after a good body wash, I highly recommend trying “Calmoseptine” from CVS because it’s a thick pink paste and not an oily topical cream that claim to help stop itches but don’t. It’s thick for a reason but it does the job after a few minutes and distractions, you’ll feel so much better. For emergencies, orally by mouth, I’ll take a couple “Benadryl” if my itch or hives are flaring non-stop and I need to sleep). Hope my comment helps!

Good, doesn’t leave a white cast and controls the sweat decently in UAE, no scent at all and no yellow marks on my tshirts however not the best I’ve tried for my heavy sweating

Mi piel no tolera el 99% de los antiperspirantes y desodorantes. He probado de todo, los disque para piel sensible, "naturales", los de cristal. Todos me irritan al punto de acabar casi en carne viva. Los únicos que tolero son los de Tom's pero sólo una o dos fragancias. Me había resignado a usar sólo esos y vivir con el sudor. Después de leer la recomendación de una dermatóloga, decidí intentar con este, con mucho miedo de que me lastimara. Pero no fue así, funciona de maravilla y mi piel está perfecta!. Voy en el segundo y aún sin ninguna reacción. No tiene fragancia ni aceites esenciales, esas dos cosas son los principales irritantes en los productos cosméticos. Funciona tan bien que no necesita fragancias para enmascarar nada. Siguiendo el tip de la dermatóloga lo aplico en la noche antes de dormir (aparentemente si te lo pones en la mañana ya es muy tarde y el cuerpo ya recibió la señal de generar sudor).
