This is a decent reel. The anti reverse isnt "instant" but so close to that it doesn't matter. That means the gear cog is of higher quality with a high tooth count. All of these cheap reels really operate on the same design principals. Therefore, it's usually not worth spending a lot on these types of imported reels. Especially at this size. Now, the "3000" size i purchased is deff not actually that big. Its more of a 1000-2000 size. No big deal, but be aware. this is more of a line capacity issue than anything else. Also- the body is plastic, but of a decent quality. not too much flex, and nothing to worry about with a reel in the 1-2k size(not 3k as advetised). Everything on this reel genuinely feels pretty solid. The main thing with reels this cheap is the tolerances. And this one feels pretty tight. Im sure the metal parts (drag washers/internals) will corrode if dipped in salt water, but i have other reels for that. And i dont plan on dipping any reels in salt water if i dont have to. The drag is way more than enough. And decently smooth. I bought this reel because it was 10 bucks- and i literally thought of it as almost free at that price for a potentially functional reel. Well, it has deff surprised me so far. If it lasts a year its paid me at that point, i feel. Take care of it, clean it (light rinse if in salt), dont drop it in sand or salt water and it will be around longer than your car. Well worth it, and a good reel to have around. I will reiterate- its dang smooth for 10-15 bucks. Crazy what we can get these days for this cheap. I will add there are some other brands with the infinite anti reverse at this price point that are also good contenders, but if you are tired of looking at what to buy and researching, SO FAR id absolutely recommend this reel and say; just get it. Again- its 10-15 bucks, you really cant go wrong.

For a very inexpensive reel, this is a very good option. I fish off my kayak and do not prefer any expensive rods or reels since there is a chance of losing anything. This has a very smooth retrieve and is the perfect for a beginner or someone afraid of damaging or losing their equipment. I also throw my rods in my truck bed and they bounce around which is another reason to get something economical. For under $15 this will work just fine. Even if I only get a few years out of it, I can get another one!

Plastic frame, but not flimsy. Out of the box reaction; very smooth, anti reverse nearly constantly, bail snaps into open or closed. Great 12 dollar reel, better than Xmart sells at 20 plus. It will be going on a rod that lost a 6 inches of tip, used as a float rig. It will be perfect for 10 lb mono, or 20 lb braid. I think on the right rod this reel would easily handle largemouth bass, for sure panfish or even trout. A lot of reel for the price.

Fantastic Reel! I have 2 SY1000s and 2 SY3000SHeld up to a 6.47 lb, 25" Drum, several 2-3 lb Catfish, and. 5lb Bass that tried to pull me, the rod and the reel in the water with her! It's has a very smooth drag system and a great sound and feel. The handle is surprisingly comfortable! I have several more expensive reels but this is my favorite one! Very durable and will take what you throw at it! Update:The Quality was so good on the last purchase, I had to get to more just to sit in the shelf! Once people catch on to how good these things are, the gravy train will surely come to end. Get yours NOW! And YES...I just bought 5 more. 7-3000s and 2-1000s💯

So far I've took it fishing about 30 times after I swapped from bait casting and this is so good I highly recommend it Bass pro shops would probably charge you at least 70 bucks for this thing and it is just really good for this price

Haven't used it yet but so far pleased with it for the price.

Okay for the price but it is really small and the bail hits my knuckles when I reel. It also is fairly smooth but really tight on the retrieve. The drag is decent and overall it is a decent purchase but for a few more dollars the Picifun Flame 1000 is far and above a better value.

I love this small lightweight reel. Has anti-reverse, folding handle. Smooth and easy to use. I like it compared to my Penn reel.
