Product felt heavy when first picked up, but once on just feels like a heavy jumper. Fits under t-shirt nicely without any bulging. Hopefully will never have to test how stab proof it is, but it definitely feels sturdy enough. Gives a lot more confidence when dealing with violent shoplifters.

I have translated the chinese to english as best as i can here is the translation:Jiangxi Great Wall Protective Equipment Industrial Co., Ltd.The insert is Made of rigid, stab-resistant steel sheet material. the cover is water/sweat resistant and is removable for washing, drying and storage.The vest can stand up to a knife stab attack of 24 joules, whuch is equivalent to level 1 stab proif vest. It is not spike proof or firearm proof. it can also absorb blunt force trauma from for example (punches).however it will not protect at an exposed point. which means anywhere the vest is not covering. The gaps in the armour are at sides of body, the lowest point of abdomen (around 3 inches under belly button) and lowest point of back (about the same as front) or the under arm/shoulder area where the vest wraps round the arms/shoulder area.Precautions for use:The Insert (which sits inside the cover) can not be washed or get get with rain.The cover that goes over the insert can be washed however, it must be dried before placing rigid steel inert back into the cover. this is to avoid the rigid plate insert from rusting.After the vest is punctured (stabbed) it cannot be reused regardless of the amount of stab/puncture points. in other words even if stabbed only once. it must be replaced or sent back to Jiangxi Great Wall Protective Equipment Industrial Co., Ltd. for repair.This product has a shelf life of 8 years after the production date. After this date has passed the product must be replaced.to wear :1. first adjust shoulder straps so vest hangs to cover as much as possible and is still comfortable.2. next place vest over head with inside lable tag against your back and so the velcro strips are near your front abdomen area.3. next pull the long velcro tabs at the back of vest round to the front to meet the velcro at the front abdomen area.

First ever stab proof vest. I’m a civilian and now days in certain places it’s good to have peace of mind knowing your protected from knife crime. This vest is so comfy and fits perfectly. When I wear it under my hoodie you can’t tell I have the vest own unless you have a good eye. The price was a bargain price. Top quality all round plus I got a pair of slash proof gloves for free. I don’t wear it every day only if I feel the need. And it came within 48 hours. Rather have one and don’t need it rather than need one but don’t have one.

It’s a lovely adjustment and is very comfortable and has a feel to it of being strong and sturdy. Obviously not been stabbed but so far so good. Great value for money and size adjustable easily. I’m 6’1 and it fits and covers majority of my important parts.

At first i tested how much protection i would get from a knife, it went right through.Next i tried a tomahawk, that got through too.If someone was enraged it would’ve went through a lot easier.After that i fired a crossbow to see how much protection i’d have from that, safe to say after all 3 tests i wouldn’t have been able to leave this review if that was in a real life scenario, which one day could potentially happen hence the genuine need for protection from at least a knife attack.

As an Amazon delivery driver I go to some unsavoury places! Places you wouldn’t want to go to if you had the choice. The only thing that makes me feel somewhat safe, is this vest!Worn under my jacket it doesn’t draw any unwanted attention. Although if it ever comes to it, I’m sure it’ll do it’s job.Amazing quality. Amazing value.Extremely lightweight for a stab vest. I couldn’t even tell I was wearing (weight wise)Somewhat comfortable to wear. I suppose it’s not really made for comfort.Would highly recommend

Side protection:There is a slight side protection for those slim enough, the back and front protection slightly covers some of the side.Noise:It can be noisy even just sitting a breathing you can hear creaking.Bad velcro and loose neck/top:The worst part for me, I'm an average size, but the velcro for the top that holds together the top and back of the vest is very short leaving you with a pretty loose vest and flaps, you will also be left with some flaps from the front bottom velcro. So the only con I can find so far is that it isn't tight enough at the top and the velcro straps leave flaps. Therefor I do recommend those in the same situation to actually buy velcro strips to sew on yourself, but it shouldn't be necessary in the first play of course considering there is no sizing option.Overall:As for the protection itself the vest is pretty secure from the light stabbing I tested it with, also the vest is quite thin so you could probably use under a jumper or jacket and no one notice. The vest also does come with a front and back pocket for either weights for anyone who exercises, or a bullet-proof sheet.
