Perfect.
I decided to go with this product because it not only allows you to use the top outlet as long as you plug this in the bottom outlet, but it also allows you to plug in and control two different things. Plus at the time this was the cheapest Z-Wave outlet on Amazon.I'm not sure why others have trouble connecting this to their Z-Wave hub, it was just as easy to connect to my SmartThings hub as any other product I have was. Should take less than a minute to get it going. For SmartThings at least you do have to connect a SmartApp called "Multi-Channel Control" to your outlet so you can control each plug, by default it just controls one plug. This is only a one time thing and again takes less than a minute. After doing this 2 new "things" will be added, each one controlling a different plug, while the default "thing" that you started with will still be there and it will still control the original plug. You can either just not use this original default plug or set up a couple of routines to make use of this "thing" to control both outlets at the same time. There are two very minor complaints I have about this, neither of which warrant losing a star. First the blue light on the outlet can't be turned on or off by default, on always means at least 1 outlet is turned on and off always means both outlets are turned off. Other things I have that have lights on them allow you to change the light functionality, including leaving the light off altogether in case the light bothers you. It's not a problem for me because I put these in a place where the light won't bother me anyways, but the company should probably make this an option. The other thing is the light/button on the front turns both outlets on or off, there aren't separate buttons on the product itself to control each outlet independently. Again this isn't a problem for me because I most likely won't be using the button on front anyways, the whole point of these things after all is to control things remotely, but some people might find it useful.I was tempted to go with a WiFi outlet but WiFi can be tricky sometimes depending on how far away the device is from your router and signals being lost and whatnot. I've been using Z-Wave for months for other products in my home and I have never once had an issue with dropped signal or anything of the like. Z-Wave is the way to go.

I love this thing. Like really love it.
I've tried a few "Smart" plug-in outlets. The problem with most of them comes down to two problems. Either they block both wall outlets so you're stuck with just the single plug or they're crazy expensive (relatively speaking). Well, the Show Home/Inovelli 2 Channel plug-in has fixed both of those issues and you actually get two controllable outlets! I currently use it with a Wink Hub (v1), though considering switching to SmartThings (Story for a different day). Out of the box both outlets are not controllable simultaneously (all on/all off) via Wink like it does with SmartThings, but it was later discovered that using Wink Robots you can (thanks Wink User FB group).Alright, let's get to the point that you actually care about. The thing works and it works consistently and fast. If you run into trouble, the seller offers amazing support. It works with Wink, SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT Triggers and more I'm probably forgetting. Just get the dang thing, you won't regret it.

Great Small Z-Wave Plus plug module
Great product! I was looking for Z-Wave Plug switches. My requirements were fairly basic, Z-Wave Plus, good price and decent ratings. I found a few other items out there that fit my requirements, and the ones that did, I could not determine if i would get a version 1 or the new Plus as their documentation was poor. The others also had very large form factors, that were not as nice, small, or arranged where I could use the other wall outlet. I placed my order for two and they came fairly quickly. I am very pleased with my purchase. Syncing them up to HomeSeer was easy and if you didn't notice not only is this probably the best price Z-Wave plug module, it also has TWO outlets, whether you need them or not.As you can see in the photos, the packaging is very nice and the physical unit is compact and ascetically pleasing. Functionally it works flawlessly.I'm very happy with my choice of this product.

Is NOT Straightforward To Control Two Outlets, Complicated Instructions, Complicated Install
These guys tried so hard. Their instructions are thorough, and have the best intentions, but fail terribly.Instead of simple instructions, they give you multiple options for instructions. Too many. The options tell you to visit a website to get more info, or snap a picture of a QR code, and once on those pages, they tell you to "click here for more". I have four tabs open on my browser right now, AND their print instructions in front of me. All with slightly different instructions. It's awful. It's confusing to me, and this is my 87th zwave device so I'm no newbie. The box promotes the fact that the device works as "Control 2 outlets", but mine does not. (I have their v2 and Smarthings v1). They say that it should appear as a device with a main switch and 2 channels, but mine appeared in smarthings as a generic dimmer switch and works for ONE outlet. I cannot see the two channels. There are some instructions they offer telling me to install their Device Handlers in the Smarthings IDE. But it's confusing which I should install of the three device handlers of the 3 they tell me to install. I don't want scene control, I just want two channels. I know I don't want to bother installing three device handlers. In short, I have 4 different sets of instructions open in front of me, none of which applies directly to my situation, and I don't know what to do from here. There is more to this, but it's just boring, so i'll stop here.Anyways, I'm 45 minutes into the install, which is about 30 more than I wanted to spend. I know i could power through this, but I just quit, cut my losses, and will use it as a 1 channel plug.

These are terrible if you are trying to lower your energy costs
These are terrible if you are trying to lower your energy costs. A normal smart plug draws .2 of a watt, these draw 1.4 watts!! Plus it shows up as three switches which one is redundant oh and you can't switch both off with that third switch, you need to make an if statement adding a fourth fake switch! And just an FYI every zwave device is a repeater.
