Great Missal for Kids!
We love MagnifiKid. It is not super cheap but well worth it if you have younger kiddos (of reading age). It's basically a Missal with all the Mass responses and readings of that Sunday, plus little bonus items here and there (my favorite is "This Week's Spotlight", which basically goes in depth into a portion of the readings - keeping it at kid-level, of course -, but there are also craft projects, mazes, info about a particular saint or order, a comic strip, etc).I also love that they have a glossary of harder terms at the bottom of the page (ex. "Patriarchs", "homage", what it means to "fear" the Lord, etc). Oh, and I like their weekly suggestions for morning and evening prayer, which are always simple and short. My kid has learned a lot, and I'm excited for kiddo #2 to start reading it when he's a bit further along reading-skills wise. Also, to be honest, I'll always flip through it after Sunday Mass and sometimes I learn something, too!I highly recommend this to all Catholic families who have kids age 6-10 or so. We will continue or subscription for years to come.

Overall, I am pleased
This is our first time using MagnifiKid for our 8 year old son. I am torn...I feel that he is fully capable of experiencing mass without resorting to puzzles and games, but then I really like the definitions of the harder words in the Readings and Gospel. I like the explanations of harder concepts, and the stories of the Saints.Overall, I am pleased. My son says "mom, where is my MagnifiKid" before we leave for mass each time, and that's saying something. However, I don't allow him to do the puzzles/games DURING mass, unless the homily is wwwayyyyy over his head. Otherwise he does the puzzles/games while we are waiting for mass to begin, or even in the car while we are driving to/from mass.

Magnifikid is Magnificent for Your Young Catholic
This publication is a yearly subscription of weekly guides to the Sunday Catholic liturgy specifically written for children. I use it for my pre-school Children's Liturgy of the Word program, but it is also well-suited for older pre-teen children. The guides are colorful (just like this cover) and in addition to the entire Sunday liturgies, give explanations of difficult words that appear in the Sunday readings and some background information. A young child would take this booklet to Mass and use it to follow the liturgy from start to finish. The weekly guides are mailed in monthly sets and arrive at your home one month ahead of time. Every monthly mailing includes a parent's guide with explanations and helpful suggestions for the liturgies celebrated during that month. A great value for the cost. I will subscribe to this publication again.

Wonderful resource for young Catholics/unacceptable length of time for subscription activation
I love Magnifikid, so highly recommend the product. However, I am very disappointed with the amount of time it took for the first packet to arrive. Order was place in early November 2016, and I didn't receive the first pack until this past weekend. For a product that is intended to be used on a weekly basis, this was a ridiculously long time to wait for the subscription to activate. I presume that delay was caused by the intermediary subscription manager. Going forward, I will order any Magnificat/Magnifikid subscription directly from the publisher.

Great Way to Teach Children the Richness of the Faith
What a great item for children to follow along at Mass and learn more about the Catholic faith. I've even found Magnifikid! helfpul for myself and my wife. We've been subscribing for several years (1st grade and up) as our children keep asking for it. It's a wonderful publication.

Great-Nephew Approved
I started a subscription to MagnifiKid! for my great-nephew for his sixth birthday. He just turned eight, and I've renewed it for the second time. He looks forward to getting it--he reads each one from cover to cover. He's learned so much! As a result, he is comfortable discussing Catholic topics. He'll be taught about the Eucharist in CCD this year; and when he receives First Communion next spring, I'm confident that he will understand what he is doing and be able to appreciate our Lord in the Blessed Sacrement. MagnifiKid! is an attractive presentation of the Catholic faith that makes it easy for children to participate in the Mass and to live their faith throughout the liturgical year. What a great way to help them grow in the knowledge and love of God!
