this is a pretty good product
the best way to keep the hose from melting is to keep it away from anything hot. i figured that out with my thinking power.the blowers work great. everything was shipped tight. seems like good quality materials

Poor hoses, Insufficient instructions, Failed pressure gauge
Both hose ends have partially melted and deformed to the point that they look unsafe to continue using. No setup or operation instructions were received in the package leaving me to experiment on my own to learn how to use them. A quick tutorial page would have saved a ton of time (and propane) with the finicky set up/operation. Pressure guage on the regulator has failed and is permanently stuck on 10 psi.

Solid Product
I like the way it gets the job done, it does exactly what they said it would do. If you're doin a double burner foundry, you'll want an extention hose, no big deal really. A single burner really does the trick on my moderately sized foundry

Used this rig for my DIY forges last year - they'll work but you need to know some things
I got back into smithing to teach my kids, and hand built my "re-entry" forge and subsequent higher volume forge. I chose this rig for cost controlling reasons. I can't in good conscience say it was a bad investment....I've gotten these to welding temperature and made my own Damascus billet to make a knife. These little doodads work, but they're finicky and intolerant of heat (the rubber tubing melts off the back where it joins the burner if you leave it in the forge after shutdown... rookie mistake).I needed an adapter to fit it to a 100 lb Propane tank, but it works just fine. I ended up replacing the hose from the regulator to the split with something more durable to solve that issue. The regulator is purely output, not how much is in the tank - note that. These things require a good amount of PSI to get to a good Damascus welding temp, and when I'm at it I run this for a couple of hours. Your propane tank - depending on your forge size - may empty faster than you expect. All in all, if you're doing what I did and doing it "the hard way" to learn or re-learn, these are a good starter set. They do teach you alot about controlling your fire (I use a very high-end Pyrometer), and THEY WILL DO THE JOB.That said, they've only lived about a year and 3 months before one gave out on me and I'm having to look at alternatives. My forge now is a big metal cylinder, with the opening 8" in diameter and 19 inches long, the metal is lined with Inswool and heavily coated with Kast-o-Lite 30 LI refractory. These little guys get it up to temp and do what I need, I'm just tired of paying for propane so I'm looking at ribbon burners for lower PSI expenditure.

Regulator doesn't fit large tanks other than that great torches
These are a great set of burners. They bring my forge up to heat less than 5 minutes. The install was super simple and intuitive. The ease of operation is more than worth the price of buying them premade instead of making your own. My only complaint is that these torches are marketed to blacksmiths and metal casters. However the regulator only works with a 20lb propane tank. Most of the community that this is marketed to use 100lb tanks. Be prepared to do some modifications to the regulator if you use a larger tank. Other than that these are amazing torches
