Affordable and faster than sending out a water sample to a lab
This DIY test is more affordable and has a faster turn around time than the local state run laboratory - the product worked as described, and I like knowing that I have more tests on hand to use this upcoming season. Easy to use, easy to read.

So so..it works but id use with caution
Pretty straightforward and easy to use. I did 2 tests.. 1 with our untreated well water (that i know has 35 ppm bacteria) one with treated water w uv light. At 48 hours both samples looked the same (bight yellow) it took another 3 days before the contaminated sample showed bacteria ... I wouldn't use this if you need something accurate. Reading it is straightforward but it's hard to accurately determine how much bacteria you have with the color system they use

Good product, shipping, and service.
Very pleased with product, do have to be careful not to overfill. The test tubes arrived, ahead of time, but with apparently scarcely any media (yellow powder) or none at all in the tubes - turned out it was there all the same, and works, as so little powder is required. I admire the promptness and ease with which both Amazon and the Seller guided me to resolve the issue in a simple, straightforward way, when the unexpected can rouse feelings that could muddle the process: a hearty "well done!" to both! I like that the product is compact, and can give results after just a day or two incubation (depending on temperature). I use a precaution of applying 1:1 dilute bleach & wait 1 min, and run water 3-5 min after, to avoid false negatives or false positives. I use it to check our water supply system in 4 places: from an outdoor hose bib, and from 3 sink faucets.

Possibly Unreliable
Ran all 4 tests at different intervals. Never tested positive. Paid county 500$ to test twice and failed. Not sure if the test is inaccurate but my well definitely had Coliform the kit didn’t pick up.
