Corte's Feijoada Mix Brazilian Black Bean Stew Mix by Cortes

This was my first time trying feijoada, and it was a complete success! The flavor was incredible—rich, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I have a sensitive digestive system, but I had no issues at all, which was such a pleasant surprise. I’m officially in love with it and will definitely be back for more. Highly recommend!

Love it for Brazilian black beans. Do not add salt to your beans. This is salty enough

Like a lot of the other reviews, I received the product in an ice chest, but the cooling pack was completely melted. I put it in the fridge right away and used it pretty soon after arrival.The meats in this product are all cured so I wasn't too concerned about it being shipped frozen or anything, but I would have preferred if it at least arrived cold. But it was actually a fairly decent quality and made a nice addition to my feijoada.

Feijoada is a traditional black bean Portuguese/Brazilian dish that I had when I was in Brazil that contains a unique combination of meats. The Corte’s product provides the meats and from what I remember it delivered an authentic taste. Very happy with the product and have purchased it three times.

This is a very decent mix with Brazilian smoked style meats. I really like the smell and flavor (linguiça paio, salted pork belly and my favorite "jerky beef" or "carne de sertão" is included. All you have to do is quickly rinse the meats in hot water, the mix is not very salted which made my job easier. After you rinse the meats, sauteed onions, garlic, paprika, cumin, black pepper, a splash of vinegar e cilantro. Add the meats and cook it with the beans (pinto or black) and voilá, amazing beans in 1 hour.

It tastes like home! Package arrived when promised and in good condition.

I’ve eaten “feijoada” countless times in Brazil, and I have cooked it dozens of times here (USA). I decided to try making the dish with this kit, and avoid having to go market to market looking for ingredients. What a huge deception! It tastes nothing like I expected! If you want to cook feijoada, I recommend to get a nice smoked sausage, smoked pork ribs, and bacon. Other meats can often be found at local Latin stores. But even if you can’t find more than the three I listed, you will be better off just with them than with this pack.
