Easyway 16" (400mm) Heat Sealer, Anti-rust Iron Body Shell Impulse Sealer with Spare Kits

I had a learning curve with this, since I never used one before. There aren't any decent instructions in the box. However it's not too hard to figure out.The problem that may present itself in the future is using the spare kit when I need it. No instructions.

I would say kind of cheaply made as the top and bottom don't line up very well, but it does the trick, and the alignment issue doesn't matter all that much.

Works great! I've had this 16" Large Heat Sealer for a couple months now and I haven't had any issues with it at all. The adjustable heat makes it easy to switch to different Poly's. The automatic timer makes sure that every bag is sealed perfectly even when I get distracted. The arm lifts all the way up, so it's not in the way when I need to realign. The element cools in a flash so working in rapid succession is easy. I don't have to worry about my next poly melting in the wrong spot. It has a thin profile and is light, so it is easy to move. Though I don't have to move it often, it stays tucked up out of the way pretty well when not in use. This size is perfect for my needs, but I will definitely be buying this brand again if I ever need a smaller one!

This is a PRODUCT review, not a SELLER review - first one ordered was from a highly rated merchant. I BELIEVE Them when they say they didn't know this "OVERLY STAPLED" Box contained a unit with a burnt power cord/clearly had been used/was defective - but, again, as a merchant myself (why I bought this) I KNOW it's not their fault. FIGURED I'D ORDER ANOTHER ONE. As of today, nearly burnt the house down - a bit dramatic - but in 59 days, with LIGHT use on LOW temps, my experience involved:1. No probs first 30 days2. 5th week in (despite using MAYBE 30x/week on only 2 temp settings - 1 for shrinkwrap/1 for polybags to keep Vinyl records SAFE (whether NEW or USED - sealing vinyl records so they stay dry/protected - as they're ALL vintage - is what I have to do so I don't end up with returns - in 5 years never had a single return of a record/Vintage but NEW cd/BOOK/Box Set - anything to make it SUPER protected/giftable/seal out moisture/etc...) and I DO often "DOUBLE WRAP" over manufacturer's wrapping b/c it protects the value of these items)3. End of 5th week sparks start flying out (on low temp - #2 on dial)4. So I replace Element/Cloth - thought perhaps that was the prob5. It worked with FEWER sparks/etc... - but then in 7th week, it literally began shooting out so many sparks I wouldn't use it anymore.6. MANUAL IS WRETCHED - IT'S 2 pages written in "non-sensical" English. Have NO idea what some of the few sentences on there even mean (if I have room at the end, I'll quote it verbatim)7. You get what you pay for. AMAZINGLY, the unit I have at 1 of my OTHER businesses is the "real deal" - still made in China, but has warranty/contact info/AND IS ONLY ABOUT $35 more ! Less as of today looking at amazon's prices.Bottom Line - REALLY STINKS - waiting for Merchant to respond to see what they recommend. They can have it back or I'll just toss it - WOULD NEVER resell this dangerous manufacturer's machine. Easyway is a brand I won't buy from - when you see the manual, you'll know why!! That should have been enough for me to realize that the merchants (all solid sellers) should do SOMETHING b/c while I won't file a CLAIM - would HATE that if it happened to me, THEY NEED TO KNOW THIS IS A TERRIBLE PRODUCT. 1 Star automatically prompts Amazon's message: "I Hate It" - Strong Language indeed, but 100% appropriate!

this was about the lowest price i could find for one of these. unfortunately, the unit was defective but the customer service was OUTSTANDING in replacing it. i really was very impressed, and the replacement works well. it does take some trial and error to get a neat edge, but once you get it down the unit works very nicely.

The instructions are not written well at all but I figured out how to use it. Also, the top doesn't seem to align perfectly when you press it down, but it still does the job.

After I purchased this and used it for about 1-2 weeks, I notice that the silicone started to blacken at certain locations. I don't think it's the unit's fault but I do think that the heating elements provided were not made too well and just heat quicker in other sections faster. I know this can always happen when you turn it up too high but in this particular instance, it wasn't the case.

At first I was scared of the durablility of this, but we have been using it in the office for many months now and it has been working great! no complaints! Buy once and forget about it, you will use it for a long time.
