So, a friend of ours gets a little bummed during winter. It was suggested that he should get one of these lights, but he said he was fine (FINE!). So we sent him one anyways. He likes it, his mood has improved. We thought we might get one, but we thought we were fine... bought one anyways. We use it in the morning when making coffee and having breakfast, it helps take the edge off. Instead of dragging out the door in the morning, I'm much more awake and much less blah. I brought it to work to get 10 minutes of light during the day (in my windowless office), invited my boss to sit in the office with me... but he said, "I'm fine!" He likes it. Just talked to my Mom who is feeling pretty blah, ordered one for her.All that is to say... if you find yourself feeling lethargic, not so perky, or generally blah during the winter... pick up one of these lights. It is well made, it works as advertised, and is totally worth the cost. I'm sure you'd be "fine" without it, but I suspect you'd be feel better with it. The Caribbean Sun light box seems to be the only brand of light box that helps with my SAD issues.This is also the only brand I can find that lists the bulbs used as type "A" LED bulbs. I can only assume that this is why this brand seems to be the most effective for me.I'm not fond of the design of the frame that holds the lights and the placement of the cord but it is still worth using over other brands.The older model of this light box, which was a little larger, was much better. Besides the old light being brighter it was heavier. The new ones are too light, which makes it harder to position.I didn't have to use the older model nearly as long or have to have it as close as I have to this one and I had better results but this light is still a better choice.

I use this light in my bathroom in the morning when I get dressed. I figure that is the time when most of my body out of clothing so I can get a better dose of the rays on my skin. This is small and compact, so it doesn't take up much space and can be easily packed in a bag if going on a trip. Best of all, I really do believe it is helping me feel better. The days I am using this lightbox I am more awake in the morning and feel more pleasant. I am typing this during the Thanksgiving time period and it gets quite dark, plus the holidays are hard for me, so I am pleased that this purchase is helping me.

Love the therapy light. About a week after using it the winter blues were gone. Also I ma sleeping much better. This lamp has a 10 year warrenty-no questions ask. I took it to my eye Dr. and he said it would not hurt the eyes. The UV rays are filtered. Wished I would have bought this 10 years ago.

I tried to like this product but I ended up returning it. I did not see a difference in mood despite following the directions.
