It’s worth every drop
This brewer has a learning curve, but so does this style of brewing. I love it even though it challenges me. It’s easy to clean, lacks plastic parts, and the concentrate I get is enough to last me until I set it up for another batch. It’s a nice size for the amount of coffee and water and it easily fits on my counter or in the fridge. I was so tired of cleaning grounds out of my immersion style brewing setup. This brewer allows you to push the funnel of used ground right out of the chamber. All the parts are easily cleaned. The drip function is finicky but even expensive Kyoto brewers have similar issues, so it’s a common occurrence. It’s worth the effort to figure out the drip function. I love it.

Great drip system
We were a little skeptical to try this based on reviews, but we love it! Makes delicious cold brew. You have to play around with the drip rate a little to get it to the perfect spot but results are superb.

Mixed review
Why don't the silicon parts fit the glass parts better? It's a real challenge to affix evenly and securely the part that binds the filter to the bottom of the coffee grounds container. When the coffee is all made, why doesn't the silicon lid fit tightly on what becomes the carafe? The concept is great, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I will keep experimenting to get the best possible cold brew, but frankly I am disappointed.

Love the coffee, but too small
I used a traditional drip tower with a ceramic filter for many years and bought this about 2 months ago when I knocked over my tower and broke several, expensive-to-replace parts. I was skeptical of the wire mesh filter in this brewer but I've found the coffee is nearly as good as the coffee from the tower. The drip rate in this brewer is much harder to control than in a traditional drip tower, and the brewer has to be completely dry before you put in the grounds or the grounds will stick to the sides and you won't be able to see the drip rate through the glass. That means you can't pre moisten your grounds to ensure more even saturation and drip through. Once I got used to these things, though, I became quite happy with this purchase. It's significantly easier to clean than the drip tower and will fit anywhere (unlike the drip tower). I just wish there were a higher volume model, I like to brew my coffee for the week on the weekends, but with this thing I have to brew at least 3 times a week.

Game changer
I actually bought mine new at an auction, but so good that I came here to review. It’s remarkably simple..easy to use from the very first time…no more steps that using any coffee machine that you put in water, filter, grounds. I tried it first on some Stumptown coffee which I had bought and was not good when hot brewed…this device made a delicious cold brew from the same bag!I drink coffee in AM for the pick me up, but like to enjoy the flavor too…as my title say, this is a game changer. My cat will also like this as my AM coffee will be already ready, so I will be able to totally focus on feeding her breakfast and otherwise serving her needs.

Worth it- best cold brew I have ever had and the wife likes its appearance on the counter.
Leading off with the cons/solutions since the headline gives away my opinion of the cold brew.It feels delicate and complicated. Once you have assembled it a couple times, you realize the gaskets are in the perfect spots so you never hit glass on glass or glass on counter. After a few brews, I am confident in handling this device while prepping it, brewing, and washing/drying.Only two issues persist: the really tricky part is getting my hand in far enough on the top reservoir to grip the little silicone tab to remove the valve gasket. If that little tab could be 1/2" longer, I would be able to grip it no problem. The second issue- while the parts are drying, I still have paranoia that something is going to tip them over and break them. Beauty is pain.I ask myself if I did it right first brew because 60g of coffee is touching the dripper and it's impossible to see the drip rate at that point. The first batch tastes ok. I grind more finely and not only does the brew taste great at this point, I am able to get it to about 1 drip per second as recommended. I feel the extraction could be a little better, so I go one size smaller on the grind. It's now amazing! I start using washed Colombians and anaerobic blends and the cups are bright, smooth, fruity, and rich-bodied. New Mexico Pinon Coffee plays sweet and nutty notes with just the right amount of bitterness to keep things honest. Once you have it dialed in, there is no other cold brew like it.So what's the issue? I really believe you need a grinder with this, but if you are considering a $70 cold brewer, you probably already have one. 60g of standard grind just doesn't seem to fit to get a nice view of the drip and set the valve correctly. You'll need to play with your volumes. Maybe try 40g coffee to 470g ice and water?Pros: it looks beautiful on my counter, it's easy to shake out the grounds and clean, you don't have to worry about if the infusion was too long, and did I mention it's the best cold brew I have ever had? The Inception lid is an excellent design choice. It's also nice I can use the same filters for my Aeropress for the top filter. This is far better than any bag in a jar, french press, Toddy, or other cold brew method I have ever used. The $70 pays itself back quickly if you currently buy cold brew prepackaged or from big box coffee shops.Recommendation: Methodical Coffee - Colombia, Andres Cardona. This coffee has notes of cucumber and jalapeno that really shine through in this brewer. Would definitely be interesting in a cold brew & tonic.
